Entrance Preview

Jee main 2017. No interview was followed. I chose the course as i was interested in top branches such as CSE or ECE or IT. And it was my last resort to get such branch.

Course Curriculum Overview

The Course is good as per the syllabus is concerned but the college focus is on making project files . So it should improve practical approach.

Placement Experience

The placements are fine. 75+% students who want the jobs get placed and others go for higher learning. Deloitte is one of the best companies that visit our campus. The average package is 4-5lacs p.a.

College Events

Goonj is the Fest of our college which happens at a large scale yet small as compared to nearby events such as PecFest ... The organization is exclusively done by students themselves... But its top knotch. The students put all their efforts and make it memorable...

Fee Structure And Facilities

Its really Affordable as per the course is discussed. It costs around 40k per sem+ Hostel Fees.I suppose this is so genuine according to the faculty and infrastructure provided to the students. Also the Canteen rates are Minimal and quality is yet sometimes affected.

Hostel Facilities

The Hostels are not worth staying if u have other options such as Home/PG... But a major advantage is that they are situated in the campus itself...

Exam Structure

Well Sometimes its just Very free lifestyle But suddenly they give us a lot of pressure on files as well as exams that it causes mental disturbance.

Faculty

The Faculty is Top Knotch But few People Find it difficult to teach and are too lazy to be interested in our course... And Some take it so seriously as if they are teaching in school!!

PEC Chandigarh Review

Placement Experience:

Placements of this college is better than many tier 2 NITs . Students are eligible for placement in 8th semester. If we talk about the top companies visiting PEC, these are Apple, Google, Microsoft, American Express, McKinsey, JP Morgan etc.

Placement Experience:

from 5 semester you become eligible for internship and pre placements i think 56 percent of the students get placed i haven't thought much about what i need to do after the degree but definitely i would be considering gaining some experience in this degree to enhance my skills

PEC is great choice

Placement Experience:

placements from rti report placement percentage is over 75 + and in ee its 74 percent cse 93 and ece 84 percent avg for cse is 18 lakhs and ece is 16 lakhs ee its 14 lakh and other branches have 8 10 lakh avg but the placemnt percentage in mechncial is 70 percent other branches like civil production have a little less percentage of placements but they have opportunities in college

Overall im loving this college

Placement Experience:

For placement students can apply in their last year respectively Top recruiters at UICTE include Reliance, GAIL, Honeywell, ExxonMobil, and Technip, offering many roles, but exact offer numbers aren't publicly available. Highest package for chemical engineering this year is 12 LPA and average is around 5 to 7LPA I want to do something of my own after this degree

after 7th semester students are eligible for process of placemet many company recenty visited like tcs and infosys .average pacakage is around 700000 and highest pacakage is around 5200000 . 70% students got placed My plan is to join a good company after degree

There are on compus placement and few companies visit. But very few students are only selected and offered a package of around 5-6 lpa. Oracle, fy, hdfc etc In percentage placement is around 10%. I plan to apply for off campus placements and don't have any plans for mtech or any other cource.

Placement Experience:

I want to go abroad for higher studies and after that work for a multinational company. I will be able to learn so much about what has been taught to us, the highest package that was given was 42 lakh per annum and the minimum is 10 lakh per annum and CSE gets the highest number of the package.

my college: pros and cons

i had applied in jossa and received conformation for central university of rajasthan and iiit dharwad. i had to reject them because they were out of my budget and were also quite far from my house. i also applied for thapar(patiala) which i felt to be much more expensive. so i chose this college due to its affordabilty and easiness in travelling to home. also because it is a government college which has a high demand over private colleges. the admission process is purely online through jac chandigarh. it is based on your rank in jee mains exam...Read More

BEST you can get in low JEE ranks. GREAT ROI.

One can get admission in UIET, CHD by applying for JAC CHANDIGARH counselling. One has to give JEE mains exam and based on its score, JAC Chandigarh conducts counselling through which admissions process occurs. I applied for YMCA Faridabad and DCRUST Murthal as well. I also applied for JOSAA counselling but due to my low rank in JEE mains, I couldn't get any NIT or IIIT. I was getting YMCA or DCRUST but choose UIET over them, because of its location. It is situated in main Chandigarh and very near to my home. Moreover, it's placements are better than both of them....Read More
