It's a pleasure to be here. After NITK, It's the top engineering college of Karnataka, in terms of placements. My overall experience in the campus is very good as the college keeps on organizing events, so the students can come out of study pressures.
Entrance Preview
I wrote K-CET and got a good rank . we can also get admission here through COMEDK So i was able to get into this college, as it is difficult to get a seat here in this college. There wasn't any interview process, but the admission is based on ranks of students in exams like K-CET,COMEDK etc. I've chosen Information science and engineering course because I'm interested in programming.
Course Curriculum Overview
It's a very good course. There is much focus on practical learning as we understand well by doing something practically. Since I'm a fresher here,yet I don't know about the research initiatives taken by the college.
Internships Opportunities
Yes, the college provides internship. Many students got internship opportunities. I don't know much about the average stipend amount etc since I'm a fresher here.
Placement Experience
Placements for branches like is CSE, ISE, ECE is very good. Almost 95% of the students of these three branches get placed with good package. But, for other branches it's not as good as these three branches. Major companies like Cisco, Morgan Stanley, Amazon, Infosys etc have visited the campus and many students got placed into these major companies with huge packages. The average package for CSE & ISE students would be around 7-9 lpa, whereas for ECE students also it would be 8 lpa.
College Events
Major events like TARANGA, 8th Mile are organized this year. They are so popular that some of actors,actresses,singers etc also were invited. The organization for these two fests is awesome.
Fee Structure And Facilities
It's a pretty good college in terms of fee structure also. The college fees is only Rs. 35400/- excluding the KEA fees, which is around Rs. 50,000/-.
Campus Life
Despite the college is filled with studious students, there are some students who are very god at extra-curricular activities also. Some of the students represented the college at the national level.
Hostel Facilities
No, I'm not a Hosteler. But, Many of my friends who stay in hostel, say that rooms are clean and pretty comfortable. For Freshers, rooms are shared among 3 students. For the 4th year students, it's one person per room, that is separate room for each student. Food is healthy and tasty. Yes, there are PGs around the college. The rent for each PG depends on the type of room they have and kind of food they offer etc.It would be around Rs. 60,000-1,00,000 per year.
Exam Structure
well, It's a chill culture. Exams are conducted almost once in a month, so we can be relaxed for around 20 days in a month. Labs are just once in a week, so the students won't get tired at the end of the day.
Faculty
Very well qualified faculties are there. Except just a few, almost all faculty are very interactive. The quality of teaching is very good.
