College management is strict and no student union exists. This is bad. The final whole sole decision lies in hands of management. Besides that, the college is extremely good for the higher education. Also, the placement is good and the average package is better than other colleges under UPTU. The environment is extraordinary with an award-winning infrastructure.

I wrote UPSEE and JEE MAINS both in the desire for Government colleges but ended with a bad score in JEE MAINS. Somehow I got better marks in UPSEE than JEE MAINS and got the opportunity of attending the counseling process. Among the top Pvt. Colleges in the ranking, I got the choice to choose from them because I performed well in my 12 th boards exams. I went through a lot of online research and confronted many pass out students and got positive reviews about placements and performance of AKGEC. My admission got confirmed through a counseling process and I got CSE as my subject according to the merit.

Subjects like EEE and ECE are tougher than CSE branch but in terms of curriculum, every dept. is more or less same. This college follows the pattern of the curriculum like in IIT and other govt. colleges. CSE is a theoretical as well as a practical subject and can be understood better with lab sessions. I think the lab facilities provided by the college are very decent and up to the mark. Although, one has to be quite innovative and hard working to bear this subject. There is no research initiatives taken till now but there are some proposals for it. Hope for the best! For electives, I would say we have a good variety of subjects for every stream to choose.

Yes, the college does provide internships but the thing is that only those get the internships who are really capable of it. So, it's totally competitive and tough to bag an internship for a below average student. Sometimes students get the internship right here in the college and sometimes they have to do it off campus. But it's necessary to do a technical internship in your course at the end of the third year because its report has some credits in the fourth year.

Placements are above average than the rival colleges and invite companies like TCS, Wipro, and Infosys which recruits maximum students from the campus. The average package offered is 4 to 5 LPA and the maximum package offered goes on changing but it goes to 12 to 13 LPA on an average. Placements are highest for CSE branch students and that goes up to 100% most of the time providing an opportunity to almost every student to sit in the placement drive.

A variety of events are organized here in the college every year related to every topic whether it is technology, management or ethnic culture. An inter-college technical event is organized by the technical societies of the college that last up to 2 days and attracts a huge participating crowd. A farewell party and freshers night is also organized for the students every year. All the events are organised by the students, the authorities does not play much role except than giving funds but still all power lies with the college only.

Fee Structure of almost all the Pvt. Colleges under UPTU is set around 2 Lakhs per annum including tuition fees as well as hostel charges. Tuition fees vary a little bit according to the stream and it is highest for CSE and lowest for CIVIL branch. Also, the tuition fees are increased every year by 5% according to the norms. Loan facilities and relaxation in fees are also provided to the economically backward students of the college. Rest is on the website.

I don’t know much about loans because I haven’t applied for any of it but I can give information about scholarships because I am getting one. College helps in attaining the scholarship provided by the government. Scholarships are offered but not to all the students. they are offered to those whose annual family income is below average. If we score very good marks in the college, we can get a good scholarship through college as well as from the University.

There are a lot of opportunities to explore the hidden talents whether it is singing, dancing, acting, drama or sports activities. Particular hubs are designated for every activity.

I was residing in the hostel for the first year of my college but then moved in a sharing PG with my friends. Hostel in this college has all the modern facilities equipped with it including mess, swimming pool, Gym and sports complexes for almost every game which I missed living in the PG. Hostel fees depend on the occupancy in the rooms and are defined as 85000 p.a. for triple occupancy, 90000 for double and 95000 for single occupancy.

The college has online data of alumni and arranges an Alumni Meet of all alumni and students of final year once in a year. They are the most important part of the college as they are really helpful and you can ask them for any kind of help anytime.

We have a three-tier system for exams i.e. two sessional exams, one pre-university test which is conducted by the college itself and university test which is the end semester examination. Scoring good marks is very tough here because of the strict checking in the university exams. Attendance also carries internal marks and can create a difference.

Most of the Faculty here are from IIT’s, NIT’s and reputed govt. colleges all having at least Masters degree in their stream. Some of them are highly experienced while some are having a teaching experience of at least 5-8 years. Teachers devote their time to the students in as well as outside the class making students perform more.
