Things that you must know about SCET

The course outline is good in comparison to other private universities and faculties are very well educated and experienced. Their teaching method is outstanding and their knowledge level is also noticeable as they graduated with Ph.D. and masters from reputed universities. Faculty to student ratio is 1:10 approx. There are 2 exams per term - mid and final. The exams are not that difficult to pass.

Companies such as VPN Infotech, Narola Infotech, Big Scale, Case Point, etc provide good internship opportunities with PPO. The stipend can be between 5k to 10k. They ask to do a small test, 1 to 1 interview, and small practical tasks as an interview process. You can crack the interview it is not that much difficult.

You will get a good placement after the completion of your course. You need to start applying for incoming companies in your 3rd year and they offer a range between 2LPA to 5LPA average. Some name of the companies - Narola Infotech, Bigscale, TCS, La Net, etc provides placement. Almost 70 to 80% of students get placements here. After my completion of the course now I am working in one of the organizations in which I got placed from the college.

The fees it 121000 for a year nowadays. Scholarship options are available such as MYSY by which you can get up to 50,000 for a year. Fees may hike up to 5k. Job placement is also good. I got an job offer for a 7k stipend for an internship and an average 3 LPA for employment.

We have exuberance and verve annual fests here and they are mostly in March or April. We also have one tech fest in our odd sem(mostly in October) and it is department-wise. For our IT department, It is called "Converse". Most of the books are available and with a sufficient number in the library. The classrooms are just okay and infrastructure needs to be renovated. There are extra curricular activities held yearly in mostly in winter. Students handle tech fest groups on their own.

To get admitted into SCET, we need to pass the GUJCET exam to be eligible and apply through ACPC. Application dates may vary between June to July. There is a reservation available such as a TFWS seat (5%) for all categories and freeshipcard for SC and ST. The admission process before covid was offline but now it's completely online through the ACPC portal which is a very good initiative. The cutoff can vary in between of 1000 to 2000 ACPC rank for TFWS, for the general category - 5000 to 6000, OBC - 9000, and up to 12000 for SC and ST.
