Review of my college

In terms of attendence, college is very strict. You have to maintain 85% attendance. You will feel like your school environment with 9am-4pm/11am-6pm college, where you can't have much bunks. However in a city like Ahmedabad, you will find many places for Hangout with friends

The entrance is done by JEE Main for B.Tech and by GATE for M.Tech. There is no interview process. But I have no idea about Law, Management and Pharmacy. You have to fill your entrance form and you will be allotted branches based on your JEE rank as per your preference. The cutoff for Comp. Sc. is around 21000 rank, 30000 for IT, 45000 for M tech., 70000 for ECE, 100000 for Electrical and 1lakh+ for Civil, Chemical and IC.

The course curriculum is similar to that of IITs, They have separate course website and course blog for all the subjects where you can get access to course material, handouts, reference books, ppts, video lectures, etc

In BTech, we have to do two internships. One after 6th sem for two months in vacations, and other of 6 months in 8th sem. You have to find internships on your own in some company or you can do any project under a faculty in college itself.

There is NUTECH, college's technical event. We have cultural, sports events throughout the year. There are around 4-5 college clubs and each branch has its organisation, so around 20 events are there in a year.

The fee was 1.5 lakh per annum for my batch (I took admission in 2015). Now, it has been increased slightly. But this is normal as compared to other private colleges. If you are meritorious student, they have scholarships of 25,000-90,000 per annum based on your merit.

College provide scholarship on basis of merit upto 45000 per sem. But you have to maintain your marks and attendance for that.

All the sports- lawn tennis, cricket, volleyball, chess, carom, table tennis basket ball,etc. are available. We are having a very good cricket ground. But to use all those grounds and courts, you need to take permission from the sports coordinator, but you can get that very easily, there is no problem in that.

The hostel facilities is also quite good in terms of air conditioned ventilation and other freedom. But they are quite congested. Moreover, they have hostel only for Post Grad., not for graduation. You can take private hostel/PG nearby the college, which are easily available. The food in canteen is best in the world. You can have anything including Chinese, continental, Italian, Punjabi, South Indian, Gujarati. Apart from canteen, there is a mess for hosteler students where you can get food just like cooked by your Mom's hands. It is much hygienic, tasty, hot served and healthy food. The menu changes everyday which includes food of all taste.

There are separate alumni associations for technology, law and management. And all are connected in mail and linked in. Even a first year student can ask for help to pass out students and they will help.

The exams are not so tough. You can easily manage above 8 CGPA by studying just one week prior to exams. There is nothing hard in mid semester and class test. But, there is no gap in between semester end exams from 2nd year. 1st yr students have 1 day gap in between each paper. There are two mid-semester and class tests in a day, which seems to be quite tough, but you will manage easily once you become habitual.

The faculties are nice. Some of them are Mtech only but many are Mtech and even PhD from prestigious colleges like IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Roorkee, IIT Kanpur. You can even verify it on faculty profile page on course website. They are always ready to help even outside classroom and even on non-working day.
