Course Curriculum Overview
Bcom(hons) is the perfect course if you are a student pursuing a Chartered Accountancy Professional course, since 80% of the syllabus is the same you don't need to study separately for college exams, it gets covered along with your professional exam studies. There are around 30-40 faculties in the evening batch and 100-110 students in each class. Faculties have usually done masters in their particular field and they have a stronghold of knowledge in their area of study. Exams are held semester-wise, twice a year usually odd semester exams are held in November or December and even semester exams are held in April or March. There is a break of one month after each semester's exams post which you pass on to the next semester altho the results are declared after you have already completed one month in that semester, it is not too difficult to pass the exams if you have listened attentively in all the classes and made proper notes you can pass by just studying one day before the exam.
Internships Opportunities
I was a CA student so focusing on my professional degree I didn't really look into the internships. But there's a portal on the college website through which you can apply for unpaid or paid internships depending on your area of interest.
Placement Experience
There are amazing placement offers. Altho I did not apply for college placements I saw my friends getting into amazing companies through college placements. You need to fill out a registration form first in order to sit for placements. The registration form is Rs 500 and then different companies list their requirements on the website that you get access to post registration. Depending on your area of interest and self-analysis you can apply to one or many companies. The package usually ranges from 4 lahks to 25 lakhs, depending on your interview and the company's requirements.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees are different as per different departments, mine was Bcom hons(evening) so it was a bit high than others, fees is paid quarter wise and it ranges from 25000-40000 each quarter. There is a penalty of 500-1000 for late fees payment.
Campus Life
There are a number of communities and clubs that give you good exposure to the corporate world, enhance your management skills, and train you for teamwork and team building along with leadership skills. The library has an amazing collection of books and journals, You name it and the library has it. The annual fest is Xavotsav and It is the most amazing time or everyone's college life.
Admission
After the board exam results, I filled college application form from the college website, the application dates had been declared earlier and had to get the application form attested by the school principal since it was a covid year then as per my board exam results the first cut off list came after a month and second cut off list came and then after a week third. But now I guess eligibility criteria have changed post covid and there are some entrance exams now.
