- Environment- the environment is very motivating especially in library and I'm very thankful that the environment is not depressive
- Space-the presence of ground and lawns gives a lot of space, also the classrooms are big in size.
Dislikes
- Inter hostel fight- not physical fights, it's more like competative fights especially in boys hostel.
- Drainage- in monsoon season roads easily get filled with rain water due to not so go drainage system.
- The involvement of politics in campus events, especially in blood donation camps and patriotic rallies.
Course Curriculum Overview
Literature has been a very fascinating part of my life, it gives me a type of escape from reality but at the same to shows me reality, so that is one of the reasons why I chose this course in English literature. In my department there are about 10 facilities but sometimes PhD students also help with studies. The teaching style is very unique as compared to other courses it's never boring and always engaging
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees have to be deposited every year and before every semester exam online while exam forms fill up. There are opportunities for scholarships but this all has to be discussed in the admin block. There is no availability of any kind of campus jobs but if anyone is in very need of it, then they can apply for library assistant.
Campus Life
If anyone wants to enjoy campus life like those movies, then they should surely dream of Ravenshaw. The opportunities are limitless, only if one actually wants to participate. There are many clubs and societies, and everyone is free to join. And if talked about the library, Kanika Library is widely known for being the biggest library in Odisha, hence providing students with a wide range of books and many more.
Hostel Facilities
There are total 13 hostels, 6 for girls and 7 for boys. To get a seat in hostel within the campus, student must apply in the admin. In Mahanadi hostel (girls hostel), six girls shares a single room provided with personal bed, study table,chair,and cupboard. The in-time of girls hostel in Ravenshaw is far better than the hostels of any other institute and are very much affordable
Admission
Earlier the admission process was different, but now if anyone wants to apply for Ravenshaw they have to first fill out their forms in Sams Odisha, if lucky then counselling will be conducted in the respective departments according to the subject they opt for.
