Remarks

I like studying in my college very much. The only thing that I didn't like is the campus size. I know my college campus is big when compared to other Engineering colleges in Bangalore but since I come from North I imagined it to be atleast near to any NIT Campus. My overall experience in college is worth remembering.

Entrance Preview

I wrote COMEDK 2015 and landed up in RV College. Yes all the students have to go through a Counselling process in which you have to decide which college you want to take. I had in mind to choose RVCE, so I didn't waste any time in choosing the college and so i landed up in Biotechnology branch at RVCE

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course chosen by me was not my field. Even though I think the course has a lotnof potential in future use. The college is not at par when it comes to practical learning but we as students try our best to change this scenario. I took Biomedical Instrumentation and Renewable Energy as my elective

Internships Opportunities

The college do helps us in contacting various companies which provide internships. I had 2 internship done till I reached 3rd year. The stipend I got was 4000 for the work.

Placement Experience

5

The placement senerio is my college is the best I can say in Bangalore. The percentage of students placed goes up to 95% . Major companies visiting our college are L&T , Samsung , Bosch , Mahindra . The average package depends on the branch.

College Events

4.5

RVCE organizes tons of events during a period of one academic year. The biggest fest we as students organizes is 8th mile. It is a Techno cultural fest which goes for about 3 days maximum. Other important fests include Kannada Sangha, E Summit , Hackathon ,Concrete Fair. I don't know much about as to how much the college supports the 8th mile fest in terms of money but I hope when i know i will knew that in a good way

Fee Structure And Facilities

For people coming through COMEDk had to pay a lot whereas the students getting admission in the college through CET have to pay less then half of the people taking admissions from COMEDk. Since it's a private college they function by their own. The fees paid by me for my Engineering degree is nearly 6.8 lakhs

Fees and Financial Aid

They provide scholarships in various categories. One is Sports field. Students joining college through sports quota get scholarship. Students with low cast are provided with financial support

Campus Life

4

The college responses good when it comes to extracurricular activities. Yes I have seen many of my friends who have taken part in this activities and came out with flying colours.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Not a hostelite but yes I have heard a lot about it from my friends. During 1st years the room provided is a 3 sharing where's for 2nd and 3rd years it is a two sharing room and lastly for 4th years a single room is allotted.

Alumni/Alumna

I have not experienced any interaction with my branch Alumni. Yes the college provides a platform for student alumni interaction. During the principal's talk with the students in various events i have heard that many alumni donate or provide jobs to RV students in various sectors

Exam Structure

We have 3 CIE and 1 SEE. So the CIE happens every month whereas the SEE happens at the end. So for me the exams were a hectic but for some days only. It is a chill culture for my branch but not for all branches the cultures remains same.

Faculty

4

The faculty experience is very good in terms of the subject or code. They are very supportive and interactive. Their standard of teaching is good but since it is not my field I find it difficult.
