Course Curriculum Overview
As a student a found that physics is interesting to me.so I choose this subject. In our department, there are 11 faculty for 70 students so it is easy to mentor every student easily. Our professor and assistant professor are highly qualified from IITs and NITs and their style of teaching is very efficient. Our department syllabus is completed timely and exams are also conducted timely. There are no difficulties in passing the mid-term and semester exam.
Internships Opportunities
There are many internship opportunities such as summer internships, and winter internships. Organization like AIP(association of all indian physist )provide internship opportunity. Since I haven't joined any internship program so I haven't any experience about internship and its project and out comes.
Placement Experience
From the 5th semester students are eligible for placement drive. There are various companies like TCS Deloitte etc. company provide campus offers. The average pack of our college is around 4 lakhs. 30-40 % of students get placement every year. My plan after getting my degree is to do a government job.
Fees and Financial Aid
The average annual fees cost is around 30000 including mess hostel and department expenses. There are many scholarship programs to assist students financially. Like state scholarships, National scholarships, Vikas scholarships, etc.
Campus Life
Campus life is good. On our campus ragging is banned so every student can live on the campus independently. There are many annual fest and programs conducted by the university as well as students of various departments and hostels. In our university, there is a central library present called Kanika Library. Biggest library in Odisha. In the library various kind of book and journal is present. It is easily available to students. And also the library is provided with computers so interested students can learn coding or other skills. The classroom is equipped with a digital board and ac. There are many sports and extracurricular activities organized by various departments so as to show the hidden talent of every student.
Admission
As I am doing BSc physics so eligibility is 10+2 from any board. The application form is available in the sams portal. If someone is from sc or st they have reservation benefits. The admission process is very good . I don't see there is improvement required.
