college is in amidst of a nice greenery environment

college is far from the city and in a very peaceful environment. the college has a first-class infrastructure with the nice view and maintains its gardens and rounds very well. college is very expensive regarding some matters you always have to carry some cash to pay when something like this occurs. the college organizes good events and fests. college helps students explore and display their talents.

i got a government seat in MITE as i had written KCET (karnataka common entrance test) and got a seat through it.i always wanted to join this college as i heard from my fellow seniors that they provide good education and i wanted to do my studies in mangalore itself.my two options were sahyadri and mangalore institute of technology as those both were the trending colleges in the coastal area providing good education and support to projects.i have chosen mechanical engineering ,there was no interview process as i had got government seat and on the of admission there was only verification of the documents.

our branch entries are still not done as i am in the first year itself there are two cycle for the 1st and 2nd semester physics and chemistry going on now.practical learning is good in the first years ,the college provides very good practical learning as our workshops are designed by a very renowned company SIEMENS ,there are a lot of different research initiatives taken in most of the departments and encourages the students to take part in them.our college provides many B.E courses including mechatronics,this course is provided by only three colleges in entire karnataka and our college is one among them .the rest are mechanical,civil,computer science,information science and E&C engineering.our college also offers MBA courses as well.

internship is not offered by the college ,students who wish to take up internship should try it by going to different companies and trying out in any of them,or the students should try their luck by getting placed in any of the companies by attending interview of companies visiting our college or do higher studies check up their luck there.

placements in MITE is really good ,we have had about 446 placed candidates ,about 80% of our students have been placed .the major companies which visited our campus are pompeii ,cafe coffee day,infosys ,hp,hewlett packard .the average package in MITE (mangalore institute of technology and engineering) is about 7.5 lakhs to 10lakhs.

there are lot of events that take up in our college like ONAM,freshers day ,but the biggest event that take part in MITE is SENTIA which is famous all over karnataka as celebrities are invited during this event which goes out for about 3-4 days .the college contributes a lot for these events .

i paid a total of a total of 96000 INR in my first year which the government fees is 56000 INR ,20000 INR is the college fees and 20000 INR as ESDP fees ,in the second year ESDP fees reduced to 10000 INR and in the rest of the two years we don't have to pay it.i have not included the vtu fees and examination fees which changes every year.and the management fees is about 150000 INR which is the college fees ,again the students have to pay ESDP fees for the first two years and vtu fees and examination fees also,looking at these figures the fees in MITE is a little expensive and difficult to maintain for a lower middle class family without a loan .

college does provide some loan facilities which are to be applied online ,they provide receipt regarding loan facilities which are to be given in a bank for availing loan.

college provides a lot and supports the students to engage in extra curricular activities may it be sports ,project exhibition or any competition .the faculty and staff provide a lot to explore the inner talents of the students helping them exhibit it.

i do not reside in a hostel but i do know that the college provides 2 people ,3 people sharing rooms ,even a/c and non a/c facilities are also available.

there was no alumni interaction and i wish the college provides a good stage and organize an event for such.

yes there a re lot examinations conducted here as our college follows the vtu board system we have to write three internals in a semester ,and we have to write numerous assignments there also lab practical internals ,which cannot be skipped with loads and loads of portion to be completed in a small amount of time and for students who do not have average ,marks to qualify or write the external examination they have to write the 4 th internal .hence ,yes the studnets feel a lot ofpressure regarding their academics and portions .

faculty in MITE is very good and well experienced there is a mixture of staff over here young teachers and senior lecturers even the lab assistants are really good to us ,teachers play very good role in MITE as they are the most important aspect in very college ,the faculty over here are really friendly and very interactive with the students ,help us in all our doubts regarding academics as well as project related doubts they encourage us in both academics as well as co curricular activities equally.they also play a very important role in organizing any event ,fest or exhibition in our college .
