Review of university college of engineering -Osmania University

I have choosen Electronics and communication Engineering course in University college of engineering,because for this course placements are more.every year many software companies and Core companies come to hire students,so to get a good placement in my dream company with high package I have chosen it.unfortunately,if I don't get a good placement,then I can go for Government Jobs related to my course. Faculty: student ratio is 1:65. Our faculty are well experienced.most of them have completed their PHD'S in their respective fields.some of them took Doctorates too.They have 20-30 years of experience in teaching field.Their teaching way is good. They explain concepts thoroughly and gives us more examples in order to make us understand the concepts.the term exams are conducted twice in the whole duration of course.the paper for term exams is moderate to difficult.but we can pass the exam.but For semester exams,they prepare paper very difficult,to pass the exam we have to study well.

Actually very few companies provide internships with stipends.one of it is Goldman sachs.many companies provides internships without stipends only.They just provide completion certificate after completion of the internship.

In our college placements are good.Students become eligible for campus placements from sixth semester onwards.companies such as Wipro mathworks oracle and many others have visited the college.Highest package is 24LPA offered by mathworks.Average is 10LPA.percentage of students getting placements is 80 percentage.My plans after graduation is to do Masters.

Our college fee is 35,000 rupees for every year.Hostlers in college hostel need to pay their mess fees after completion of every semester.Nearly,we get 10,000 rupees as mess fee.most of the Students get Ts epass scholarship,Nsp schlarships.some students get some other scholarships ffe,virchow,etc. Campus do not provide directly any type of job with stipends mostly.But it invites big multinational companies to provide paid Internship for students.

Our technical fest name is Aakruthi,it is conducted in the month of March or April.All types of books are available at Diamond Jubilee library.we have a white board and benches in our classrooms.we also have 2-3 fans .For interested students in sports, training is given by coaches.Every year sports competitions are conducted at our institute.winners and runners will be awarded with trophy's. Extra curricular activities such as singing ,dancing,standup comedy competition and other competitions are conducted.EMC^2 conducts live singing events.EMC^2 club is run by a group of students.and some other clubs such as SAE,NSS run by students group only.

Hostel facilities are average. In a single room,9 members have to adjust .In a room only 6 beds,4 cupboards are there.9 members have to adjust accordingly.only 4 Common bathrooms are there for 7 Rooms.Food in our hostel is good . most of the time it is tasty as well as healthy too.a very few times food will not be tasty.The registration process for hostel admission is not much complex,during joining in the hostel everyone has to deposit 10,000 rupees and this money will be refunded after completion of our four years of graduation.Hostel accomodation is free of cost for all students just we have to pay the mess fees.

Admission process is good.We can get Admission in this college through EAMCET and ECET exams.After writing any one of these exams through Counseling,we can get into this college.Eligibility is we should qualify in any one of the entrance exams such as EAMCET and ECET to enroll in any course.SC and ST students will have more reservation when compared with OBC and OC castes.After getting seat in this college,we need to give self reporting at the institute .while joining we need to deposit RS.10,000 and this money will be refunded after completion of our four years.
