A Clear Truth about VIT, Vellore campus

I chose CSBS coz i want to get into business in future. There are quite good number of faculty but students are in large number. In vellore campus, there are nearly 35000 students so college is very crowded All the faculties are PhD graduate and have good teaching methods through slides and notes 3 exams are held per semester namely CAT 1, CAT2(open book) and FAT. Beside that we have digital assignments and quizes. It's easy to pass if you focus in class.

I am in my 3rd semester so right now not doing any internship. Just to gain knowledge i applied for an internship on my own at younity and it has a performance based stipend Internship apportunity are great in this college if your concepts are clear.

From 6th semester, you can start applying for internships TCS, Wipro, Microsoft, MotorQ, etc companies visit every year and there is a bulk hiring. Last year Microsoft hired nearly 30 students and MotorQ gave 1.02 crore package to 2 students Highest package was 1.02 crore and average package for CSE is 10 lack and other branches is 7-8 lacks I am planning for MBA after BTech degree but can't say anything now.

It is a quite expensive college as the fees are too high to be affordable. If you got a good rank then it's fine but 3,4 and 5 categories fees are too high. Nearly if you are of category 5 and opted for single room with special mess, then yearly approximately you need to spend 8 to 10 lacks If your rank in VITEEE is below 1000, then scholarship is provided. Campus placement are quite good and MNCs placement are in very good number.

Annual fest is Riviera (February)and tech fest is gravitas(September). Apart from this small fest also occus like yantra. There are 1 lack + books in library and very high quality so easily accessible. You get it for 14 days but can be renewed for 7 days extra. Classrooms are fully furnished but since vellore is too hot, AC should be provided in classes. Lab classes have AC. It's mandatory to take extra curricular course which have 2 credits and sports facilities are excellent Codeshef, robovitics, ecell, google developers club, apple developer clubs there are 30+ clubs and chapters available

Room have a cupboard, chair, table and lamp. Mess food is good (take special mess) or else you will waste money eating outside Registration process is simple through official website and VTOP. From second year, hostel councelling takes place in live setting. PG for girls is not allowed if your parents are not living in the city

There should be 60% for general in 12th board to apply for VITEEE entrance exam. Based on your rank obtained you have to sit for counseling in 4 phases 1-20000 in first phase 20001- 45000 second phase and so on. Mostly CSE seats in vellore campus fill till 30000 rank for all categories. Fee payment have 5 category based on rank in VITEEE exam. All the application are available in vit.ac.in website and application fees was nearly 1150 and counseling fees was 7000.
