collage placement was the best thing in the campus
library is also good with digitalized tech.
Play ground is good and available in hostel also

Dislikes

I don't like the heat in Chennai and around the collage
Some rooms will be bit old in A block as it was old block
Tamil language was initial barrier but then I got to learn it.

My passion is the factor for choosing this course and reviewing it with seniors in the same college. The faculty were good enough to deliver the subject, teaching method was a bit low in practical but lab practicals were taken care of carefully.

Placement Experience

Vel Tech is best known for the college placements. almost every eligible student will be getting a chance for placement drives and max will be placed by EOD and even after completing the college, they will follow up.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are moderate for this college if you can secure a 75% scholarship. I got a 75% scholarship and I got placed in Cognizant and Hyundai. In cognizant I have worked for 7 months and changed path to Hyundai as my major was in mechanical engineering.

Campus Life

LAVAZA is the fest that will be conducted in the college and it happens in the mid Feb or March for all festivals, there will be cultural programs conducted. college has a very big library for each branch and it covers almost all the books.

Admission

The admission process was butter smooth, I applied through the college brochure and we had to write an entrance exam which is moderate in level. If you are good in your (+1&+2) intermediate with more than 96% then you will get 75% scholarship.

Specific schedule is not followed in college regarding the academic and co curricular activities. Sudden decisions will be taken by the management which is a bit difficult for the students and faculty too. There were times where faculties are fed up of management rules and decisions.

1.) Placement begins from the pre-final year and we are allowed to apply for companies from the final year. 2.) Around 70% of the class gets placed in reputed companies with an average CTC of 4-8 LPA. 3.) Along with core biotech companies, many IT companies are also hiring students at a very decent package. 4.) I plan to pursue a master's after this course.

Students become eligible for placements in their final year. Many reputed companies like accenture, TCS, zoho, HCL, etc. visited and many of my friends also got placed with a good package. The highest package from my batch was 50lpa in company called motorq. The average package is around 4lpa.

Placement Experience:

The students become elgible for placements right from the 5th semester of their course work. The students who have no standing arrears become elgibile in the first place. There are many companies visiting the college where Infosys, Cognizant, Virtusa are the mass recruiters. The are many other companies like TCS, Wipro, Zoho etc. visiting the college placement drive. On overall 90% of students gets placed every year. The highest package of 25lakhs per annum was offered by amazon for 3 students. My plans after getting degree is to get placed in any of the company.

From final year students and 3rd-year students eligible for attending the campus placements in this campus so many companies are there like Wipro, wheels India, so many IT companies in this average package starting as 18000 to 40000 students should have a minimum percentage of 6.80cgpa eligible for placement I completed the degree I got a placement on IT company.

Before admitting in Vel Tech, I've applied in Quaid E Millath, Queen Mary's College, Nandanam Arts college, Presidency college.I chose Veltech over these because It helps me financially and academically.Even though i had less marks Veltech admitted me. Yes I did get a rejection from other colleges due to my less performance in 12th Standard. It happened because of my medical issues. Admission process in Vel Tech was so simple and Neat First they will be asking for the following Aadhar 10th, 11th, 12th Mark Sheets 12th Certificate TC certificate Caste Certificate Income Certificate Bonafide (if necessary) And then we are requested to pay the full fee amount I joined through management quota.
