Campus Life

The annual fest conducted in Ethiraj College is called the "Srishti" and it is considered to be one of the most anticipated events in Chennai. It is usually conducted in the month of March-April. Houses over 1 lakh 12 thousand books available in Ethiraj.

Hostel Facilities

It is a home away from home, a temple of learning and a family that has a long living tradition. The Hostel has 4 Blocks with 154 rooms and can accommodate 561 students. The hostel provides a mess and there is a dining hall with modern kitchen facilities

For admission to undergraduate courses, a candidate must have passed the Higher Secondary Examinations of Tamil Nadu or an Examination(like the CBSE)recognised by the university of madras as equivalent thereto.Admission will be passedon the +2 marks only.At the time of application candidates must provide a valid e-mail ID and mobile number scanned image of a photograph taken recently Applicants may apply by paying the application fees of Rs.100 through online mode only. Request for change/correction in the application form shall not be entertained under any circumstances after submitting the application form. The college will not be responsible for any other consequences.

A College that builds knowledge,confidence and memories

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is well structured and relevant to current academic and real world needs,it hepls built astrong foundation knowledge especially in my field geography,the syllabus also supports preparation for competitive exams and higher education. Exams are conducted regularly and difficulties level is moderate,which helps in consistent preparation,however adding more practical assessments instead of only theoretical exams would be beneficial Overall the curriculum is good but it can be improved by including updated topics more hands on learning,and modern teaching methods

Course Curriculum Overview:

The courses are well structured and interesting espcially the social psychology and basic psychology papers. in a semester there are 2 internal exams and they will be at least a month apart from each other. as long as you study your course materials, the exams are pretty easy however otherwise it might be a tough one. the courses are well structured espcially the social and basic psychology. and in some semesters, there will be a reading period where students are encourged to go and read in the Library.. The Curriculum served as a base for Internships and basic understanding but it is required to do masters to get a job in psychology filed

My experience at Women's Christian College

Placement Experience:

The placements at college were good. Students become eligible for placement from the 5th semester. Some of the companies to my knowledge were Deloitte, Cognizant, Hexaware and the average package was between 3lpa to 5lpa. In my class, ther percentage pf students placed was more than 75%. My plan after my Bachelors was to immediately pursue Masters degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This college is a famous one and it is studied by many higher officials. The faculty is very good and talented, students ratio is 500:900.
