Course Curriculum Overview
There is a high demand for Computer science engineering nowadays and Chitkara is famous mainly for computer science engineering. Faculty is okay means some teachers are good and really provide their efforts like giving PPTs, notes, and extra practice questions. But some teachers come teach and go. There are 30 - 35 sections, A-Z sections for CSE students and the rest for students opting for CSE with Artificial intelligence AI. We have ST, End Term Exam and practicals. St are monthly tests and end term are taken after the subject completion.
Placement Experience
The biggest disadvantage is the high number of students which creates a lot of competition at the time of placement. The average package is 4-5 LPA. But if have the talent to come out of the crowd you can also get 10-12 LPA or 8-9 LPA. To be in a safe zone you should have at least 7.5 CGPA.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee for the course is 85,000 per semester. 20,000 is admissions fee. and you will be having a total of 8 semesters in the 4-year course (2 semesters each year) If you want to opt for university transport or for hostels you will be charged more. As there are many students enrolled in cse, there is high competition and students. But they provide many opportunities like many clubs as per the interest of the student, and startups too. So you can come out of the crowd if you have talent or are willing to do something different.
Campus Life
The Campus is pretty nice. They provide all the games that a should have like football ground, tennis, swimming pool (charges required) and many more. You will be having DJ nights, many celebrities visit campus too. There is a library in almost every block with AC. Cse library is not that much big as there are many students in this course. All classrooms have air conditioners. Their classrooms are excellent, properly cleaned, and have smart boards too.
Admission
There is no entrance exam for admission to CSE at Chitkara University. Candidates should be 12th pass out with more than 60%. You can find the application form on the college website. They have mentioned all the courses with the fee details. For computer science engineering the fee is 85,0000 per semester, and admission fees are 20,000, You have to pay admission fees and the 1st-semester fee on the first day of counselling. They will call and inform you of the date for the counselling. There are no Reservations or benefits as it is a private college. I suggest you don't miss the counselling date given to you. Later they will not provide the course you want especially cse as they have many students enrolled.
