College Life at LPU

I was interested in Arts so I chose this course, there are 7 to 8 faculties for each course, and the number may vary for different courses. Most of the faculties are good but some of the faculties of my course were not very good, it seems like they were passing time, asking students to study by themselves which is not a matter but some of them also do not provide students with the study material. Most of the faculty's qualification is Phd and they use the PowerPoint method for teaching. There were 2 exams one mid-term and one end-term and 3 continuous assessments, it is not difficult to pass the exams.

There are Mooc courses available, some of the courses offer internships but mostly the students have to do the internships from outside. Every semester a student has to do projects- social sciences and more.

LPU offers placements, students have to register for the placements, and they can also opt out of it. The last year of the course is for the placements, there are placement classes also and in the last semester, there are placement drives. Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Wipro, and Tata, are some of the big giants that visit the campus every year. The highest package is around 3 crore pa according to me and the average is around 4 to 5 lakhs.

The fees are high actually, more technical courses have more than 1lakh fees per semester and they offer scholarships too through exams and percentage but by including exam fees and another fee, the fees are still high. There are not many campus jobs.

The social life at the campus is good, there are a lot of fests for music, culture, and tech-based and almost happens every month. There are also several clubs, that one can apply for and join easily. Every block has a library and there is also a central library which includes both online and offline books. They have also given access to the online library and websites along with the microsoft office. Classrooms have ACs and Projectors and seats are also comfortable. One can also join sports by giving trials or through sports quota, they also conduct sports activities every month.

For the admission process, a person has to take an entrance exam and by scoring good marks on that exam, they are given benefits like scholarships. There is no eligibility, anyone can choose any course and one can find the form on their official website. The admission process is smooth and can be done online too, reservations are also available and several benefits are there for students. Athletes can also apply they get good training facilities and coaches and also they have more time to focus on their sports career as they dont have to maintain much attendance percentage.
