Course Curriculum Overview

4

Mbbs is a 5.5-year course which includes regular theory and practical classes daily along with regular postings in hospital and internship in the last year of this course. Our college provides excellent classes by highly skilled faculty and our hospital also has a large patient input daily for excellent clinical practices. Faculties are also doctors with high qualifications they use ppt to take lectures and show us all instruments during practical classes. We have periodic PCT and sessional exams throughout the year and finally University exam at the end of each proof which is required to pass to go in the next prof.

Fees and Financial Aid

Mbbs is very costly in our country but government colleges have very low fee structures. Mgmmc has an annual 1 lakh tuition fee with some extra charges for the library etc. Hostel charges are 12000 per annum excluding mess charges which vary in different messes. We get scholarships like medhavi and post-matric scholarships in which the whole tuition fee is paid by the government in return we need to do 1-year regular service bond.

Campus Life

3.5

Campus life is very good in this college. We have a library, gym, badminton hall, TT hall, canteen, garden and many other things inside our college. Also, new lecture halls were made for new batches. An annual fest called nirvana is celebrated.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel facility is provided by college itself. They are situated near college.Every batch gets a separate block in hostel and 2 students share a single room in it. Mess is available in hostel with provides nice food. Many students who don't want to live in hostel rent a room in city and live there.

Admission

Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College, Indore is a government medical College for mbbs and dental courses. For admission to this college first, you have to qualify for the NEET exam which is a common all-India examination for admission in mbbs and BDS courses. Then on clearing the exam, you will be able for the counselling process. There are two types of counselling, all-India counselling in which students from all over India can participate for 15% of seats and state counselling in which only students having a state domicile of MP can participate for 85% of seats. Then on the basis of merit college is alloted. For the admission process, you have to take original documents to the college. A list of documents will be available in the college's counselling desk and the process of its submission will also be available. You can also avail medhavi or post-matric scholarship during the admission process.

Course Curriculum Overview:

First of all the college faculty and management is very good they teach us each and every topic very easily in a understandable way. Their is also hospital postings to see real life patients and their problems. Their is such good way it is managed that I didn't feel any improvement yet. The exams are held accordingly to the given time table by university and exams are mix of easy, hard and brain storming questions.

Ive always wanted to be a doctor as my uncle is a doctor and ive lived with him for half of my life. Mbbs and especially internship here prepares a medical student for any challanges that he/she might face while being posted in his bond or in PG. Ive already mentioned about the frequency of examinations. As for area of improvements, they should also incorporate rural visits and train us for real life
