Course Curriculum Overview
In our branch, we have approx 700 sub-courses to study. But till the 8 semester, you have to pass through at least the recommended courses, and every year you have to earn a minimum number of credits. If we talk about the courses and how easy they are, some courses are very easy as some might be difficult for you. For 1st year you have a total of 37 credits, 2nd year you have 47 credits and the next two years are almost chill.
Internships Opportunities
There are many top companies that offer you Internships at IIT Delhi like Google, microsoft, Apple, Amazon, etc. And these may pay you up to 1 crore for that For taking part in intern you don't have to be involved in a specific project but your skills and the cgpa matter here.
Placement Experience
From 3rd semester you will be qualified to shit in the placements. Almost every big company in India and also all multinational companies are invited to college for that. About 80 to 90 per cent of students at IITD get placed anyhow I'll be in research.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fee structure÷ If income > 5lac per annum = 1.2 lac per semester. If income [1, 5] lac = 0.58 lac per semester. If income < 1 lac, = approx 19000 per semester And also you will get some extra scholarships from different farms. I have to pay 57000 per sem. And the mess fee is the same for all. And I can afford it cause my sister is also in college and we have to pay her academic fee and hostel fee also.
Campus Life
Life in college has become hectic sometimes and chill for some time. We have quizzes and mid-semester, surprise quizzes and final exams and we don't get enough time to prepare for them as we also have to be in other activities like sports, self-development and college fests. Some popular college fests are RDV, TECH FEST(TRYST), and eDC.
Admission
It was through threw JEE Advance process. After getting qualified you have to go through a counselling process and you will be allotted the college you can afford. After that, you have to fill in the docs and the fee and all that stuff and finally, you will be allowed the hostels in college. For first impressions, you will have some sort of orientation in college and also for the department.
