I chose this course because I am very passionate about the Medical profession. All the facilities of this college are very knowledgeable and guide students always. Faculty: students are 1:10. They also help us in many medical research. Like I have done my research in icmr with the help of an eminent faculty of pharmacology dept of our college. All the facilities are eminent doctors. 3 trimesters and one final professional exam are done per year. The course curriculum is very systematic and student-friendly. Professors are very student friendly also they guide us very well to pass out exams.

This college provides us with a one-year internship opportunity after we complete the 4-year course. We can do this internship in our hospital. This internship provides 28000 rupees per month. The internship is mandatory for every student.

We have to give 4500 per semester and there are 9 semesters in total course. The fees are very reasonable. We also have many scholarship opportunities in our state like svmcm. Also, there are some scholarships for reservation students. After completing the 4 year course this college provides us with a 1 yr internship for 28000 per month. After that, we can also choose a housestaffship in the hospital as a doctor.

We have an annual fest named Lobelia which is held in mid of sept every year. It is the biggest medical fest in eastern India. The fest is held for 5 days long. For this fest, we have the opportunity to attend live concerts of many famous artists like Sonu Nigam, Vishal Shekhar, Arman Malik, Farhan Akhtar, Ash King, etc. In this fest, the students also perform dance drama and other cultural activities. We also have an AC classroom and all other modern amenities like a projector. There is a centrally air-conditioned library that provides all the medical books and journals for free for college students.

For admission to R G Kar Medical College, we have to give the national eligibility cum entrance test. After that, we can choose two types of counseling process one is the all India council and the other is the state council. For All India Council, the college provides 15 percent of seats and for the state quota, the college provides 85 percent of seats.
