Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because being a Doctor was always my dream. The faculty-student ratio is good as per the curriculum. The facilities are well-qualified. Interactive classes are conducted with a main focus on the clinical aspects. Exams are timely conducted. Semesters are well conducted decently. Passing is quite easy if someone studies throughout the year.
Internships Opportunities
Many educational institutions offer Campus Ambassador programs to medical students. Internship opportunities are provided at college after the final year with a stipend of around 30,000. Under internships, we are asked to attend postings in various departments and assist the doctors. On completing the compulsory internship for one year one gets the MBBS degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees are constant for all Government colleges and are fixed. It is 4500 per semester. There is no fee hike as per the Government policy. This helps us in carrying out our studies without any financial concerns. No scholarships are provided by the college. The college fees are subsidized so no financial assistance is required as such. Campus Ambassador programs are provided to students. I was a Campus Ambassador of PW and Internshala.
Campus Life
The annual fest of the college is Lobelia and it is conducted in September. Medifest is Therapeuo conducted in the month of August. Ample books are provided in the Library. It helps us understand concepts well. Air-conditioned clean classrooms are provided. Sports activities are conducted throughout the year. Various cultural groups are present in college.
Admission
The admission to this college was via the NEET exam under the state quota. Those who cleared the cut-off were called for admission in the first round by the West Bengal University of Health Sciences. The application dates and fees were seen on the website of the University. The date of admission and required documents were duly uploaded on the college website. The admission process was smooth Documents were verified. The management was very professional. I was satisfied with the entire process.
