Review of R.G kar MCH, KOLKATA

As MBBS is a dream course and also provides quite a permanent settlement for a lifetime, I chose this as my higher course. Faculty: students in our college are nearly 1:5 but all of them have completed the minimum course to get into this profession i.e. MD/MS and are very efficient at teaching. Term exams are taken every 3 months i.e. timely and they were not so difficult to pass for an average student.

After a 4.5-year course, we get into a year course of Internship. The internship is done in college as well as is arranged at Aamdanga and Baghbazar health center. The internship is done under government facilities and the stipend is pretty decent.

MBBS course is composed of 9 semesters with a fee of 4500 for each which is pretty fair and also does not change every year which is a benefit for students. Although scholarships are available for current batch students no such scholarship is available for dropper students. After 4.5 years of UG course, the students get into a one-year Internship where they get a stipend which is of pretty decent amount.

The campus life is quite good with a friendly and safe environment. We have separate common rooms for boys and girls with lots of indoor gaming equipment. The name of the annual fest is LOBELIA and the academic fest is Therapeu which occur in the month of September and August respectively. There is a huge collection of books and journals in the library. There are two projectors with two screens along with Mike in our classroom. Various sports activities like cricket, football, badminton, etc. occur on our campus.

The lady's hostel provides one room for 4 people. It provides one bed, trunk, and rack. Meal quality is average with normal Bengali and non-bengali menus for both vegetarian and non-vegetarian. The registration form for hostel allotment was distributed on the same day of admission and it is very affordable with a fee of 12Rs/ month.

I passed my 12th from West Bengal Board and was given the all-India medical entrance called NEET in the year 2020. I was selected for the MBBS course at R.G Kar Medical College and Hospital Kolkata. We got the application form and all the procedures at the website called wbmcc.nic.in with 1200 application fees. I had no reservation benefit i.e. from the unreserved category. All the procedures of admission were done physically at the college.
