Course Curriculum Overview
I am from a remote village in West Bengal. In my village, there is no health care center. So villagers have to travel to cities to seek treatments. So I want to be a doctor & help them to treat their illness. Every Faculty has prestigious professors. In mbbs course, there is 9 semester & every year there is a final proff exam. We have to pass 4 professors MBBS and attend duty of 1 year to become a doctor.
Internships Opportunities
Interns have to give mandatory duty of 1 year. Interns can learn under the supervision of senior doctors. Interns get direct exposure to patients. Interns get scope to do OT. After the Internship students get their mbbs degree from college.
Fees and Financial Aid
It is a government medical college. So the cost of fees is minimal that's why students like me can study without having the tension to manage money. We can borrow books from our beloved seniors. In an internship, there is a stipend of 30k.
Campus Life
Our annual fest is Lobelia & medifest is Therapeo. It's conducted in September. In our library, there is a wide range of books by various renowned authors, and even foreign author's books are easily available.
Admission
My Family member died without a single treatment as there was no health center near my village and my economic status was not good enough that we could travel to seek facilities in bigger cities. For this reason, I committed myself that I will be a doctor and take care of my beloved family & society. Now, I am a student of R.G.KAR MEDICAL COLLEGE & Hospital. Here faculties teach us with their caring nature & are very helpful whenever we face any problem. We have the Platinum Jubilee Building where Various Seminers, Medifests, and live concerts are organized. Here I want to mention another fact about our college that students of R.G.kar students are called khalu. I proudly tell others that I am also a khalu.
