Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Course curriculum is lengthy and difficult because after all, it's MBBS. The classes are held regularly and the ambience is sufficiently nice and fulfilling. There are different departments and the professors take our classes according to the schedule. Apart from them, post-graduate trainees help a lot with academics when required.

Internships Opportunities

5

The internship is compulsory after completing 4.5 years of college and passing all 19 subjects individually. The stipend for an internship is above 30k and increases every year. In an internship, you have to work different kinds of shifts which could become more than 24 hours.

Placement Experience

5

Strictly the placement is not there in the college. First, there is the internship for a year after passing the final year. You get a salary of about 30k per month. After which you can apply for housestaffship which has limited seats in the hospital. Medical representatives from various pharma companies might allow one to increase their reach and sort of generate revenue in different ways.

Fees and Financial Aid

The admission is lowest in the entire eastern zone and is probably 2nd lowest in the entire country. It is 6500 while admission. It is split as 2000(admission fees) +4500 (semester fees). There are a total of 9 semesters so a total of 40,500 rupees is the total expenditure for the college. After completing the course internship is there and you will be paid 30k per month.

Campus Life

5

Life here in RG Kar is smooth. There are multiple societies like drama, dance, debate, music, etc. They provide ample opportunities to participate in various events and Excel in those areas. Cricket, football, badminton, Table tennis carrom, etc. tournaments are organized along with eSports. The library is well equipped and as a result, it has become my favorite place in the college.

Admission

The admission process is conducted by bus. It requires verification of the documents to make sure that you achieved a rank and qualified for the cutoff and that you are suitable for admission. Then via the online portal of Wbuhs, you are alloted to a Medical College, Of the choices you fill out and submit the documents related to criteria like the result card, admit card, aadhar card, etc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is completely based on NMC new guidelines. Along with the theory classes where we know the structure and their working in dissection we actually see them on cadaver . Lectures should be more interesting as it's get boring to literally listen the concepts for first time like a story and at the end we forget everything

Course Curriculum Overview:

Medical field is a really good field in my opinion to serve humankind and learn about science of nature and life!the curriculum is a little overpaced and there are 19 subjects which are taught in a timespan of 4.5 years which is a bit hectic! There are 4 professional exams and 9 semesters which have pretty good difficulty and assess our skills and education. We have regular examinations in around 4-5 months each. Only thing id like to change in the curriculum is better assessment of many topics which are taught pretty well but aren't examined much leading us to waste our time in focussing on them.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well, mbbs is very hard and long term process. You will be bored in 1st year because you cant get real clinical cases. But in Final year, 3rd Prof Part 2, you will get huge pressure. Because there are total 11 subjects, you should study in final year. It is a great burden for all. I'm not satisfied with Nmc curriculum. They are not thinking about students. They are implement their rules in chilled ac room. But they don't know the real scenarios.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is quite planned and great and has a lot of advantages in having a clinical and learning diagnostic approach to various diseases. One area where the curriculum can improve is by having more practical classes rather than theoretical classes. The exams are quite difficult but are quite planned to make you understand the clinician and the passing percentage is 50 percent.
