Course Curriculum Overview
The course is divided into many segments. While many perceive Chemical Engineering as a medium branch, it does have its own benefits in the core sector. It is a highly demanding branch with faculty who studied at IITs and international universities that come within QS 1-20 rankings. Exams are difficult and there is continuous evaluation via quizzes, assignments and segmental exams. Also, there is support for fractal academics which enables one to pursue courses from another department of choice.
Placement Experience
The placements are wonderfully managed by OCS. They bring top companies like Microsoft, Google, NPCI, Sprinkle, etc. to name a few on campus both for internship and placement. Mercedes, Honeywell, JLR, Bharat Biotech, etc also come for core placements.
Fees and Financial Aid
It depends on the government norms and usually the fee is 1Lakh per semester. There is an institute scholarship available and also there is provision for many government and private scholarships which the students are notified of.
Campus Life
Clubs are student-run with a faculty in charge. Clubs promote the technical and cultural life that a student needs at IIT. South India's largest techfest Eland and Nvision is conducted at IIT Hyderabad annually.
Admission
First, we cleared JEE Mains (eligibility is 10+2). Only the top 10%-ile get to sit for JEE Advanced. On the basis of rank in JEE Advanced, we get college. The admission process is done by JoSAA and is very smooth.
