Course Curriculum Overview

5

Up to this day, my experience has been very good. Actually, I love to read about the human body In class 10 in the life science book I got an interest in the neurons, genetics, and many more topics of biology. So after finishing my 10th exam, I took PCB. After 12th I took the neet exam and took mbbs at rgkar Medical College. All the faculties in 1st year of my college were outstanding. I can't describe it in words. The faculty-student ratio is great. For 1 subject you have a minimum of 15+ teachers. All the faculties are well qualified. I love their teaching methods. For in anatomy, all the teachers used to draw an imp diagram of anatomy to make us learn very well. And really it helped a lot.

Fees and Financial Aid

In government colleges like rgkar medical college, the fee structure is much less compared to the private medical colleges. During admission to the government college of West Bengal, I guess you have to pay 6500 rs(semester fee included). And per semester the fess 4500. In a year it is 9000rs. Obviously, there are various scholarships you can avail of. Like the swami Vivekananda scholarship in west Bengal and also many scholarships you can avail of in west Bengal. In private colleges, the fess is very high. Like for one semester I guess you have to pay in lakhs.

Campus Life

In R G KAR MEDICALCOLLEGE, Our annual fest is LOBELIA and it is conducted in the month of September. Many popular artists from all over India and sometimes the world come to our college. The best bands in West Bengal like fossils, they came last year in our college. Sonu Nigam came last year and many more. This year Armaan and Amaal Mail are coming to perform in our college. There are sports facilities and many more things available. Many books and journals are also available.

Admission

I Saptarshi Biswas student of R G KAR MEDICAL COLLEGE, am currently in 2nd year. I gave neet in 2021 and got admission to RGKAR MEDICAL COLLEGE on 15th Feb 2022 via giving neet. To be eligible for neet you have to choose PCB in class 11. Neet is a national medical exam which is conducted by nta every year You can find the application form on the NTA website Regarding all details about the exam you must check the NTA site. I got 543 in the NEET exam and I belong to the sc category. For the sc category, I guess for my college the cut-off in 2021 is 530+. During the admission process, I reached rgkar Medical College on that day by 10 a.m. You have to bring your 12th marksheet, 10th marksheet, neet result, neet admits card, age proof certificate, and most importantly the seat allotment result. All my admission process was done in just 1 hour. All the teachers and seniors were very helpful. They really helped me a lot. Finally, I got my admission letter and came back home.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is completely based on NMC new guidelines. Along with the theory classes where we know the structure and their working in dissection we actually see them on cadaver . Lectures should be more interesting as it's get boring to literally listen the concepts for first time like a story and at the end we forget everything

Course Curriculum Overview:

Medical field is a really good field in my opinion to serve humankind and learn about science of nature and life!the curriculum is a little overpaced and there are 19 subjects which are taught in a timespan of 4.5 years which is a bit hectic! There are 4 professional exams and 9 semesters which have pretty good difficulty and assess our skills and education. We have regular examinations in around 4-5 months each. Only thing id like to change in the curriculum is better assessment of many topics which are taught pretty well but aren't examined much leading us to waste our time in focussing on them.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well, mbbs is very hard and long term process. You will be bored in 1st year because you cant get real clinical cases. But in Final year, 3rd Prof Part 2, you will get huge pressure. Because there are total 11 subjects, you should study in final year. It is a great burden for all. I'm not satisfied with Nmc curriculum. They are not thinking about students. They are implement their rules in chilled ac room. But they don't know the real scenarios.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is quite planned and great and has a lot of advantages in having a clinical and learning diagnostic approach to various diseases. One area where the curriculum can improve is by having more practical classes rather than theoretical classes. The exams are quite difficult but are quite planned to make you understand the clinician and the passing percentage is 50 percent.
