Course Curriculum Overview
I had an interest in physics since class 12 and also I liked electrical circuits very much that was the initial basic reason for me to join this course. Later coming here has made me more keen and interested in this course. There are 120 students and nearly 50 teachers in my department. All teachers are mostly iitians and foreign University postgraduates and many are researchers and have done phd. They have teaching experience of a minimum of 10 years. Exams are done twice a semester and weekly quizzes and assignments are also there. Quizzes are fine but exams are really quite tough and very difficult to score full it rarely happens that someone scores full.
Internships Opportunities
Many companies come for internships in my college including Google Microsoft jp Morgan Texas instruments Samsung apple Dell Intell. Students are eligible for internship after the second year. Usually, 2lakh around stipend internships are there. Some students go for research internships and some go for foreign university professors' projects which usually not stipends.
Placement Experience
After 6 semesters students become eligible for placements and internships after 2yr though people rarely get internships after 2 years but all get them after 3yr during the summer break of the third semester everyone does internships. The highest package is 1 cr and the average is around 15 lakh per annum. Many big companies kike google Microsoft jp Moragna samsung quant companies big consultant companies also come here My branch placement percentage is quite high almost 98% of students get placements from campus. My plan is to work for 2 years and then pursue a master's from a foreign University.
Fees and Financial Aid
I got no scholarship mostly scholarships are for sc,st or obc children and some are on a merit basis. There are a number of scholarships for general students also but there is huge competition. The cost of study is quite high for a government institute and the fee hike policy is quite nice here it considers all aspects there is a provision for fee deduction based on family income which is quite nice. and also sc students have to pay no tuition fees. There have been cases when students demanded deduction and they agreed in the mess and hostel etc.
Campus Life
The annual tech fest is conducted in September. The annual fest's name is Rendezvous and the tech fest's name is Tryst. The library of my campus is very very huge it only has academic books but books by professors and journals science magazines journals paper published recently are available on a weekly basis. There is a separate section for the humanities department. Not only science-related material is available here. You can find various other domains as well. People here are quite active in sports and to promote sports each student needs to complete 100 hours of NSO. Also inter IIT sports meet is a very interesting event here. There is a proper board named Brca for social clubs and events. BSW for student welfare and bsa student publication and bsa sports activities and many other student associations as well.
