Course Curriculum Overview
As I belong to a farming community, I have had a huge interest in the field of agriculture since my childhood. That's why I chose the course of agriculture. The student-faculty ratio is quite good. All the teachers are excellent and highly qualified. The examinations are conducted on a semester basis.
Fees and Financial Aid
The annual fee is 4000. The fees are not too high. All the students can easily afford the annual fees. The students get scholarships from the West Bengal government. Like Swami Vivekananda merit come means scholarship and so on.
Campus Life
There are many cultural programs like Teachers Day (September) Freshers-farewell program (December) Tapan Memorial Cultural Programs (August), etc. All kinds of books are easily available and accessible in the library. Classrooms are air-conditioned, with good light, fan, and smart board facilities.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel rooms are very good. Each student border is given one bed, one almirah, and one chair table. The milk quality is very nice. Fish and egg are given thrice a week, chicken twice, and others are veg meals. The hostel fees are very negotiable and all the students can afford it very easily.
Admission
At the time when I got addmission to Visva Bharati, there was no entrance examination as such. The admission took place based on the higher secondary marks. The application form is available on the Visva Bharati official website. But now admission is going on through the common University entrance examination (CUET).
