TNAU review

My first option for UG was to study biotechnology and TNAU is one of the best universities in Tamil nadu to offer this course. Every group of 4 students would be assigned a faculty member. The faculty members are extremely knowledgeable in their field and they encourage us to learn. They try their best to engage students and make them understand the subject. Term exams usually start once 105 working days are completed. You should have a good understanding of the subjects to pass.

Usually, the students can try to apply to any institutes in which they're interested in doing an internship and the faculties usually help them to get internships there. Other than that they also help students do internships in reputed institutes. The stipend usually depends on the institute. The students usually work on projects that are already going on in an institution.

Usually, the campus selections happen during the Final semester of your program. Top companies in your study program along with some banks and others usually visit the campus. The packages can vary from 15000-50000 per month and it depends on individual performance. Usually, students having more than 80% score can get placed. I'm planning to do a master's.

The self-financed courses usually have higher fees comparatively. And the cost could be anywhere around 70,000 - 80,000 (Inc hostel). Students can get a scholarship if they're first graduates, falls in the sc/st category, or must have good icar scores to get a scholarship.

Every department conducts its own functions and it will happen one after the other throughout. Other than this university conducts its annual sports meet, cultural meet, etc. which usually takes place between April - and May. The library in TNAU is one of the biggest libraries in Asia. The classroom is fully furnished with smart boards and projectors. They also have windows to keep them bright and ventilated. Every department has Wi-Fi connections. The university has a huge ground and also an indoor stadium where you can pretty much join any sport. Almost all the clubs are run by students and the faculties guide them. There are clubs like a literary club, orchestra, SSL.

The students must have some basic understanding of biology and chemistry. The application for UG courses usually starts during April - May and the application forms will be available in their university portal, and an application fee of Rs. 1000. NRI & industrial quotas are also available. Usually, the admission processes happen fast so there's nothing much to change about that.
