Life at TNAU

I want to study in the agricultural stream. So I chose this college. The courses in the college are very interesting and easy to learn. Faculty members of the college are very good at teaching. Faculty should possess a Ph.D. in agricultural stream. Two semesters per year and each semester has an internal exam. The semester is a little bit difficult to pass. If we studied hard and listened to the class carefully we could pass the exams.

For internships, students are offered from companies relevant to their course. biotechnology students got internships at companies like Rasi Seeds. Food technology students got internships in Hatsun, Gavin etc. Companies offered 10000 to 20000 as a stipend.

We had campus placement the last semester. Nearly 50 companies came for campus placement. They offered agricultural-related jobs and bank-related jobs and offered 3 to 4 lakhs per annum as a salary. Approximately 50% of students got placement. My plan is to crack competitive exams to get a government job.

The semester fees per semester are 20000 for government courses and for self-supporting courses 60000 per semester. Community scholarship is given to eligible students. Some summer fellowships were also given. Many bank-related jobs and private companies in the agricultural stream are exposed to Campus placement. The students who got placement received 15000 to 20000 as initial salary.

Every year Sanghamitra and Muthamil vizha are conducted in the college from April to may month. Also, each department has a department function. In my department, we have conducted bioconcorrenza every year at the time of National Science Day. There are a lot of books and journals in our campus library. And it was very useful for competitive exams. Every student benefits from the library. Clubs like literature, orchestra etc there in our college. In every college festival, the club members participate. Sports tournaments for conducted every year in our college. The infrastructure of the college is very good. The college has so many resources compared to other agricultural colleges. Students are maintaining YouTube channels and social media accounts.

The admission process is easy. We have to apply for admission online. We didn't write any entrance exams for admission. Based on the cut-off marks we selected for the course which we chose. Based on the reservation also we got a seat allotment. To apply for the college we can find the application on the official website of the college. The application fee is less only. For the SC/ST category application fee is less compared to other categories. We have to undergo biology, physics, chemistry and maths as major subjects in the higher secondary to be eligible for admission. No need for any improvement in the admission process.
