Remarks

The remark is, this is a government college and all labs, classrooms and everything in this college is old even the buildings. The toilets are not good and nobody cleans it also. This government degree college should be very much improved for the future students.

Entrance Preview

To join this course in this college there is no entrance exam and the journalism course is new to us in this district so I landed in this college. there was no interview process followed during the admission time. This course is unique and it has got a good scope in the future.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

This course is very good and it contains very good subjects containing real time subjects. They are taking some little focus on the practical learning in our course. The institution takes good research initiatives in the research field. There is elective kannada, elective English.

Internships Opportunities

There are no internships in this course for the students in this college. this course is newly introduced to this college.

Placement Experience

3.5

There is no placement in this college and nobody comes to hire us. We should go and search for the jobs outside the campus and I don’t have much idea about this placement.

College Events

4

Since I am still in first year, the college has conducted only few events and the events swill be very good and enjoyable and also very big. There will be big footfall. the organization supports for these kinds of events very sincerely.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee is very comfortable and affordable. We are paying only 2,500 per year. This is a government college and it takes less college fee for the students. But for the extra things we have to again spend the money.

Fees and Financial Aid

the college provides some scholarships I think but I am not sure about that. I don’t get any scholarships. I don’t know whether the college support for taking the loans from the banks.

Campus Life

2.5

As far now the college is good in terms of extracurricular activities. I have not participated in any of the events till now. The facilities given at the same will be very good

Hostel Facilities

3.5

I don’t know about the hostel facilities nor I stay in any of the hostel here. As far my information I think there is no hostel facilities given for the students. All the students travel from their home itself.

Alumni/Alumna

Since I am still in first year I don’t know much about this but I think there will be no student alumni interaction.

Exam Structure

The exams and labs do not make us feel tired at the end of the day. They will be in chill culture.

Faculty

3.5

The faculties are very good and have good knowledge about the course and their teaching skills are good and they will explain in both the languages English and kannada. They are very interactive with us and share their experience with us all the time. Their standard of teaching is good and they do not give toucher for us.

The students are eligible to sit for placement in their final years. The companies which comes for the placement are deloitte, goldmanSachs, amazon and many more reputed companies. And they do make many offers. The highest package reports around 30 LPA and the average goes on around 3 to 4.5 LPA. Around 70-90 percent get placements. My plans is to pursue higher studies.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements towards the final semester of their course. Currently, I have only been using the help of my faculty for internship opportunities, since I am not looking for placements. But they have connections with big names in the communication sector, and they often have personalities coming in to give talks and interact with the students. A great number of students opt for placements and approximately 90% of them do end up getting posted at really good companies. Others choose to continue with higher education. My plan after receiving my degree would be to take up a diploma in literature in the UK, while simultaneously finding myself a position at a good publishing house there.

Placement Experience:

From my seniors, I hear that 20/30 % of students from our college get placed. But now being in my final sem I know the reality. For covid and lockdown, the placement sector has been badly hit. Only a handful of companies came this year (5/6 companies). 4/5 people from our batch are placed but no placement for the big chunk of people. From 5th sem students become eligible for placements but in 5th sem, no company came to our college for placement this year. Only in the 6th sem, the placement cell started. Companies that visited till now ( some of them came to take interns and didn't offer full-time jobs) 1) Clevertize, 2) Social Panga, 3) Robert Bosch GmbH, 4) Saatchi & Saatchi, 5) Publicis, 6)PR Pundit, 7) McKinsey, 8) Edsol Edtech, 9) Momo Media, 10) MSL, 11) Genesis BC, Offers: 1.5-3 LPA (average). I plan to send CVs personally to companies through LINKEDIN and other job search platforms because the college hasn't provided us with good placement offers as claimed.
