My experience has been good till now

I gave the UPTU entrance exam and joined this college through counseling. This college is near my home and I asked about it from my school seniors who took admission in this college and after getting a positive response from everyone I decided to join this college. I didn't have to give an interview process to join this college. I opted for B.Tech in CS because I am comfortable in programming and I wanted to succeed in this branch.

The course is challenging because we have to study all kind of subjects, not just computer science but because of the support of faculty, we are able to overcome these challenges. We had practical exams in every semester and had good Labs for different subjects with 2 periods ( 2 hours ) given for practical work on all weekdays. Various workshops are organized by our college (paid and unpaid) so that students can learn new things and can enhance their knowledge.

I haven't received any internship yet from my college so I cannot comment upon it. I have heard from my seniors that they had to find the internships on their own.

We have proper placement cells and few good companies do visit our college but students placement is dependent on students knowledge, only the very best get selected. Students usually get an average package of 3-4 lacks annually.

Various events are organized in our college. We have our annual fest named Antarnaad which is the biggest event of our college. Apart from that, various societies in our college keep organizing events for students to participate and win prices. There is a one week sports week organized by our college and the winners are awarded medals and certificates on the fest in front of everyone by the special guest. Most of the events are not that big as our college is government aided college so mostly our college has to organize everything with the funds provided to them.

It is affordable for me, we have to pay 74000 INR per year(can be paid in 2 installments, 32000 per semester). But there are students who are financially weak and are studying on education loan.

Yes, our college does provide a scholarship to the financially weak students. I didn't avail any kind of scholarship.

Our college organizes various sports events and cultural events for students to participate. Apart from that poster making, presentation, debate competitions are held on various occasions.

Our college doesn't have hostel facility so students live in PGs near the college.

We had an event named Alumni meet where all the successful alumni of our college showed up and told about their success stories. Students got the chance of interacting with them

Well, our sessional exams are tiring as 2 exams are conducted on a single day one after the another for 3 days in a row and no gap is given in between. Labs are usually conducted at the end of the day for 2 hours on all working days and it is a bit tiring too.

Faculty are very supportive, every teacher is well qualified and has a minimum of 4-5 year experience. Teachers are very interactive and try to communicate with students and try to solve their problems. Teachers use both projectors and blackboards to teach so that students can understand concepts in a better way. Also, regular revision tests and extra classes are conducted to help students in scoring better for the external examinations conducted by AKTU. Some teachers are very nice and are very supportive but few teachers are good with knowledge but not that good at teaching or making students understand the concept I should say. Teaching is not everyone's cup of tea afterall.
