Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because I had a genuine interest in biotechnology and because of the brand name of IIT Delhi. The gender ratio at IIT Delhi is 1(female): and 4(male). The term exams are really difficult and are held twice a semester.
Internships Opportunities
Internships are offered at the beginning of 3rd year through OCS. Companies from all over the world interview students on the basis of their pors, extracurriculars, and academic achievements given in their resume
Placement Experience
Campus placements are okayish with varying graphs each year. The average package offered by campus placements is 17.6 lpa. My plans are to sit for placements and for an internship before that. I have an interest in consultancy more than tech.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees are quite high for the general category here. It is 1,19,000 per semester and this is just the academic fees. We also need to pay hostel fees. Scholarships are given in a CG-based criteria with a 7 cgpa minimum grade.
Campus Life
The library is well-furnished with books of all genres and types. Classrooms are air-conditioned well lit and spacious with projectors and smart boards. Many clubs are here run by students like axlr8r and Hyperloop
Hostel Facilities
Hostel rooms are not good and spacious. There is triple sharing in most rooms. Mine has 4 students in it. Meals are moderate in taste and quality. All in all not good hostel facilities. Lots of scope for improvement.
Admission
Jee Advanced is the entrance exam for IITs. It is a tough exam and only the candidates who clear the cutoff of jee mains can give this exam. My category was gen ews so I had an edge as the cutoff for gen ews category is lesser than the general one.
