Course Curriculum Overview
Agriculture is a trending and demanding course nowadays. There are three faculty -1.Agriculture 2.Horticulture 3. Technology. The student ratio in each faculty is approximately 1:1. Our faculties offer UG, PG and PhD programs. we can review our teaching method 8.5 out of 10. We have to study hard to score pass marks and term exams are usually held within 6 months.
Placement Experience
After graduation candidates can apply for placement. Many banks visit our university to take students as employees like hdfc, ICICI etc. 8-10 offers made. 30% of students get placements. After graduation, I will go for higher studies.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees for per semester require 6K. It's an affordable price for all types of students because it's a Govt. Clg. Many scholarships are there like Swami Vivekananda scholarship, and many scholarships are there which are provided by the University. I don't get any job yet but there are placement shells in our university.
Campus Life
In every year fest named "UJAAN" is inaugurated by seniors with the help of professors. And in the month of September for Viswakarma puja, one fest is organised every year by the students of technology faculty. Every type of book related to the courses which are offered is available in the central library and it's a massive size. Every classroom is smart except one or two. Cricket, football, tennis, and volleyball these games are played and tournaments are organised for separate games at separate times. NSS club is present and it's very active for our society and the university website is ubkv.ac.in. Every informations are updated by the university authorities from time to time.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel rooms are ok.There are no scarcity of lights,fans ,beds,almirrahs etc. Meal quality is not so much good.But dinner is little bit good.Break fast,lunch and dinner is provided. Usually Hostel is alloted by judging the distance of candidates.Registration process is not complicated. University is located in Pundibari,Koch Behar, West Bengal.
Admission
This location is wonderful. It's UGC-approved and ICAR recognised. For UG studies UBKV is best in West Bengal for Agricultural studies. Many pass-out students are well-settled and many of them continuing their higher studies in the top agricultural institutes in India and abroad.
