Life at SCET

The college provides us with whatever it needs. There is nothing that has bothered me about my college. Be it academics or co-curricular activities, SCET has always tried it's best to excel.

Students need to give JEE examination and also should concentrate on boards as a 60%-40% ratio would be taken respectively. Ranks are allotted on the basis of this. I personally chose IC, because I have always been interested in instrumentation

The course I am studying is deep and very conceptual. Our professors focus on the practical approach more than the theory. Theory is not denied either. We are taught industrial applications simultaneously. And every semester after the third semester, we have an elective where we are free to select a subject of our area of interest.

The college is very supportive when it comes to internships. The college allows students for interning for a month or so! People generally tend to apply post their semesters so that, they don't miss classes and be productive in the long breaks.

Many multinational corporations like TCS, wipro and several others come for placements. Almost 50-60% of the students get placed every year. The average package is 3.5lacs

Fee structure is just like any other private college but since it is semi-government it is relatively cheaper. We have about 90k rupees per semester fees. That is, it is supposed to be given twice in a year.

We have half yearly exams that is held by the GTU. Practical knowledge is more important than theoretical knowledge. At the end of each semester we also have practical exams. Labs are held everyday. It is a chill culture before exams. And before the final semester there is mid semester held by the college itself.

Faculties are thorough with what they are teaching. They hold degrees from various renowned institutions across the country. They are very supportive as well as guide us properly. PowerPoint presentation by them help us in better understanding and get a deep insight of the subject.
