Review of Gayatri Vidya Parishad College of Engineering(Autonomous)

The course curriculum is better and the faculty is also better. I chose the Civil engineering department in Gayatri Vidya Parishad. The course curriculum is better and they divide the courses in a very organised way for every year and keep honours and minor courses along with them. I chose this course because I'm interested in it and I'm suggesting that take this course only if you are interested. The faculty-to-student ratio is better. There are less no of experienced faculty members and more no new faculties but they divide and take care of the classes with experienced faculty. The qualification of every faculty is M.Tech and PHD from IIT's and NIT's. They are mastered in their respective fields. The term exams are for every 5-6 months. That is so difficult when Corona comes in, they completed one term in just 3-4 months in that time it is very difficult to pass because we are just beginners in that subject. I suggest that the college increase the term duration and keep the experienced faculty

The placements are better for the Department of COMPUTER SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING and its sub-branches. But for other departments, there are very less placements. Students are eligible for placements when they come to the 7th semester. The companies visited are INFOSYS AND TCS etc they took almost 200 students from the CSE department and the average package is 5 lpa. The highest package is about 40 lpa from the CSE department and the average package is 3 lpa. In CSE 80% of students are getting placements but in other departments, only 40% are getting placements. placement officers do not call them to the office and after some days they send an apology letter for not hiring them into the office. My plans after getting the degree are to get into IITs through the Gate examination and I'm preparing for the examination very well through online courses and YouTube courses. College does not provide any help for gaining competitive jobs.

The fee structure is 69000 per year and the total duration is 4 years. The opportunity for the scholarship is more and through the JVD scheme we are benificializing 100% scholarship, so it is very beneficial for us. The campus jobs are better for CSE but for civil it is very difficult. For Civil also we are acquiring software company jobs and not core jobs. And the number of jobs is also less when compared to CSE. The fee hike does not happen in course but for a hostel, the fee hike is much more. At first, the hostel charges only 60000 per year. But now they are charging 80000 per year. The scholarship name is JAGANANNA VIDYA DEEVENA scheme. The financial assistance is full. They provide 100% scholarships every year and for hostel fees, they provide 10000 per year. The scholarship benefit is very useful.

Life on the campus is very boring, there are no cultural activities, there are no sports there are no fests no freshers there is nothing in the college except studies. There is only one fest in three years in this college. The recent fest is EKATHRA it was conducted in April 2023 and it stopped suddenly due to rain and did not start again and ended. So there has been no fest in the last three years. There is more availability in the college library. The classroom amenities are better without fans and AC. But it's very cool sometimes and it's horrible sometimes. Sports are somewhat better in this college. but coming to extra curricular activities is nothing in the college except studies. Social groups are very more and the name is YES( YOUTH ENLIGHTEN SOCIETY) clubs are also more for every branch. In my civil engineering, there is a club named the INSTITUTION OF CIVIL ENGINEERS(ICE) UK-based club and the events are conducted by students themselves. They take every care about the event.

Hostel facilities are good. There is no nonveg in this hostel as it is Brahmins college but it is very worse because the veg food is also not nice. The facilities provided for the hostel are just neatness and privacy. The review of meals is much worse. I have never seen a hostel with no nonveg. The registration process is through going to the hostel and the affordability is worse. The fees are much higher than expected and it's is worse even more. There are many hostels and rooms outside the college as there is no nonveg in the hostel. The locality is Madhurawada near the college. The facilities are better there than the college. I recommend not joining the college hostel as the facilities are not good and the outside hostels are much better than the college hostel. the college hostel fees are not affordable in any way.

The admission process is through entrance exams like EAPCET and ECET exams in AP. I have taken the EAPCET examination. I scored 23000 in EAPCET and kept the counselling process. I gained a seat in the Gayatri Vidya Parishad College of Engineering in the Civil Engineering Department. The eligibility is you should pass your Inter Board examination and for ECET you have to pass your graduation process in polytechnic. You will find the application form in papers and internet. The application fee is nearly 1000 rupees and application dates are released before two weeks in respective examination websites. There are reservation benefits, if you are SC/ST then your application fees will be reduced and you have a reservation in your respective counselling process and in seat allotment. The admission process should be improved as website crashes happen so many times. The website should be handled with so many servers so that it never crashes.
