Realities of IIT Delhi.

Because my rank was not that good, I had no choice. No idea about the student-faculty ratio Highly qualified professors are present here, some of whom are IITians themselves and others have done research or Phd from abroad. Passing exams is easy and exams and quizzes are frequent.

Internship is is in 3rd year and lot of students get internships. My seniors have got really good placements with stipends upto 8 lac permonth and max till 17 lac per month in optiver amsterdam. and other tech companies like sprinklr etc. No idea about the projects.

UG students become eligible for placements in the fourth year, All the top-notch companies come to IITD, for example, Jane Street which offers a 4 cr package, optiver Amsterdam also offers in crores. more than 70 percent of students get placed overall in college. the percentage is much higher for circuital branches. I also plan for placement.

The affordability of IITD is good, although a but higher than other IITs, but still lower than most of the private colleges. The fee is justificable and special grants are given to SC/ST students. I did not take any scholarship.

The annual fest of IITD is Rendezvous, which is the biggest cultural fest of North India, this year being conducted in the month of October. Lots of books on all subjects and specializations are available in the library. Classrooms are equipped with high-speed wi-fi and are fully air-conditioned. Sports facilities are really good with almost all sports played in India available. lots of groups and societies are run by students like BRCA, BSA etc.

The hostel room is not very big, three students live in a room in the first and second years. There are only fans and beds and almirah provided. that's all meal quality is good here, not very much but more than average mess food in KOTA. Registration is done along with the institute registration process.

Need to qualify for JEE advanced examination, The cutoff depends on toughness and is different every time, but the rank should be less than or around 5k in order to get in IITD. for OBC It can go up to 10k in the general category. The admission process is through JOSAA counselling after the announcement of the JEE result. Forms need to be filled followed by a process of registration in offline mode in the college
