Likes
- Anti - Ragging : Most of the seniors are supportive.
- Sports: You can play any sport you want. There isn't any criteria for any sports.
- Faculty: All the faculty members try to provide you as much as they can.
Dislikes
- No fests: You'll be having a single or sometimes no fest at all in a year.
- Hostel Restrictions: Girls need to be inside the college before 7pm.
- Environment: Surroundings of the college isn't that much appreciative.
Course Curriculum Overview
I think you should know that all the students who study under AKTU face many hardships when it comes to gaining marks in exams. Faculty members are helpful in nature. Teachers are good but they made you focus on your academics so much.
Internships Opportunities
College does provide you with some internships but you need to do it on your own. Invest yourself in your job preparation as much as possible and as early as possible. Try to contact seniors in your 1yr of college.
Placement Experience
Placements are not that good or maybe right now it's because of the recession going on in industries. Average package I think should be around 3 to 4 lakhs. Placement percentage of students should be around 70 to 80%.
Fees and Financial Aid
Talking about fee structure- it's about 1.35 lakhs in 1 yr and 1.22 lakhs in 2 yr and in 3rd and 4th year too it's around 1.25 lakhs. You need to apply for scholarship on your own , the college doesn't help much.
Campus Life
You may get as many friends as you want, that's your personal issue. About clubs and infrastructure- you're allowed to join clubs for 2yr only. You won't even get to know much about clubs so you have to explore on your own. IMS has three buildings- one for first-year btech, biotech, and MBA, second for 2nd to 4th yr, and the third one for labs.
Admission
I took direct admission and that was a smooth process. At first, they told me to give a scholarship of 25k as I had a PCM percentage above 85% but when I went for admission after 3 days they told me that they have increased the criteria for the scholarship to 90% and I didn't get any scholarship in my 1st year of college.
