Not good enough

The college management must be improved because the releasing of results are very slow. There is very tedious process and it's also very exhaustive to firstly submit fees then take everything. They take too much time for that.

Banaras Hindu University Entrance of MSc(Microbiology) conducted independently by the University itself. I'd also given entrance of DU for MSc. Genetics and MA Psychology, got selected for both. But, I selected BHU because my home is in Varanasi.

Yeah, as far as the coursework is concerned with regard to research. It's really appreciated that our Coordinator at present and our main department of botany, Banaras Hindu University is doing very good and their coordination is superb. They're daily improving the facilities here. Yes, we're having some difficulty in performing experiments because we can't get proper equipment, the bacterial cell culture etc. Are not available sometime at the right time, but, still with less facilities, we're doing pretty good. The faculty has designed the course with research purposes in mind. It's being updated by our coordinator with time. So, it's updated and good.

No, our college don't provide internships in our department.Because they're very research oriented, and the facilities in my department are still under construction or under process. It needs to be improved. We're not having any internships here. Yes, if you wants, you can directly contact the professors, they may take you under them for research purposes. But, there isn't any internship provided by the University itself.

The placement facilities here aren't much good in my department. The placement cell is trying to do good in those field. Last year we had a job fair in IIT BHU. It had provided jobs to students. And some companies like PRADAN, CONCENTRIX etc. had came and took students from Environmental science department as far as i know. They'd given them part time jobs after fixing a date. They'd took written exams and interviews.

The festivals are Spandan (whole college students)participate. Before this, we have Aakanksha fest, I many activities like cartooning, extempore, debate, etc are organized by students committee. This committee have it's work divided into different department like finance, stage decor etc. These festivals are big and everyone who's interested participate. They've rounds like audition, semi finals, grand finale. The grand finale is celebrated in the biggest hall of BHU known as Swatantrata Bhawan. Then the students who'd reached the Grand Final rounds from every faculty will compete in Spandan.

The fee structure for regular courses isit around 20000 to 30000 for regular seats. Their are paid seats also which gets fulfilled after the regular seats are filled. The fee structure is feasible for regular courses but expensive for the side courses and professional courses. You can get the whole detailed fee structure by going on google and typing the specific course name as it depends on faculty to faculty and course types that is it expensive or feasible?

No, the University doesn't provide any scholarships or fellowship from their side. Yes, UP government scholarships for OBC, SC, ST and differently abled people is given by filling some forms online ,and then they'll provide you with that.

The Gender ratios in Science are quite good. The guys and girls are also very good in nature. Their backgrounds can vary from very backward rural areas to very bigger cities like Kolkata or Delhi. They're very friendly, we've groups. Yes, The so called Sex, Drinking at night-These things are really very difficult her due to the backward mindset of People of North. Thanks

I'm a day scholar. Though I'd been to hostels, the food quality is ok, not good. The menu must be improved, they make potato daily. And the thing is that it's average. In some rooms, they even give space to 4 girls but this must not be done as those rooms are only spacious for 2 girls maximum. They overload the hostels by giving extra students space. You'll have to adjust a lot. Otherwise, you'll get PG's without AC facilities and shared bathrooms nearby the University. They're a bit expensive.

The students are from diverse culture, so you'll learn many things from them. They're really very good and helpful. You've to respect them as they're your seniors. Some will get offended if you don't give, some will be of chill mindset who don't give a damn. By the way, I found every type of person here. Jaime Mahamana ji ki

The exams and days are exhaustive here. We've classes from 10-5 or 9-5 daily. We've to read one extra subject minor elective and we've to choose it. The overall experience of mine was not that good. It's really becoming hard to manage everything with this schedule.

I'd filled the forms online. But, I'd no interest in this course, I I got admitted and the administration was very good. And then i also started preparing for the exams. I got good rank and got selected. I've been improving myself, and then, the counselling was very good, I'd submitted all the papers. I loved everything. And I started developing interest for the course. I'm enjoying my college at present. It's very good.

The teachers are interested except few. They don't teach that well(some of them). Some of the teachers are very good and some aren't. Some take interest some don't. The standards aren't that up-to date they must be. Improvement is needed at every aspect.
