Cotton University is the best college in the northeast. It is credited AAA grade from the NAAC survey last year. The environment for the study is very good and all students spend a great time.
Entrance Preview
For admission in an undergraduate program, there is no examination. The admission is based on the marks obtained in class 12 by the student. Actually, a cumulative mark is obtained by the university based on the best of three subjects in which the student secured top marks.For eg. If you enrolled for the Bsc zoology degree than the teacher will see your highest marks in physics, chemistry, maths n biology n depending upon your cumulative marks a chart is out whether you get admission or not.and depending upon the seat admission proceeds.
Course Curriculum Overview
As I am from the CS&IT dept. there is a very good scope for research.Many teachers are doing research in different fields like Data Mining, Graph Theory, and Artificial Intelligence. Also, there are projects for the final year students in different domains like Image processing, Computer Vision etc under the guidance of good mentors. Also, there are various seminars on different fields and professors from IIT Guwahati also give their valuable knowledge.
Internships Opportunities
No, till now they do not provide an internship.
Placement Experience
There is a placement cell in our university. But it is not that active. However, placement comes for the CS&IT dept from Wipro. The salary is not that high.
College Events
There are many events like national debate competition. From last year, Cotton fest is also organized.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fees structure of our university is very good except for the self-financed program. Fees of per year are approx. 6k. And also there are many scholarship programs for the student.

Yes, there are many scholarships program from the university and the government for the meritorious students.
Campus Life
the gender ratio of our university is 6 boys:4 girls. There are many extra-curricular activities like sports, music, debates etc. There are grounds for football, basketball ball court and an indoor stadium.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facilities are average. However, there are any pg's near the university.
Alumni/Alumna
Seniors are always helpful and they are always friendly with the juniors. There is no ragging in our university. The whole university acts like one .They is no dispute among students.
Exam Structure
There are 6 semesters of an undergraduate program. In every semester, there are two sessionals of 20 marks and the main semester exam at the end of every term. However, from next year maybe there will be only one sessional of 40 marks. The result is given in CGPA system.
Admission
In 2015, the admission process is totally offline.But now it is online. Student can check the Cotton website for admission details. Basically in the middle of June -July the admission forms are out.The administration branch is extremely helpful and cooperative.They always try to help the students in any situation.
Faculty
The faculty members are highly educated and they are all interested in their fields.All of them have done their education from reputed colleges. Almost 80% are Ph.D. holders n others are MSC. They have a strong knowledge of their specific field areas. And some of them are still doing research in some areas.
