Adventurous College

Although almost everything is good in this college if you are very hardworking then please prepare for some good exams right from the first year don't waste your much of the time on getting good CGPA as 8.5 is more than good. Prepare for GAT, GRE, CAT, XAT, NMAT, SNAP, IAS or whatever you want to become in future. You will get lots of time in this college to prepare for those exams.

I have JEE main to get into National Institute of Technology Jamshedpur. I got 188 marks and 89.4 percentage in board. As in my time board was added with JEE mains. So, I got 25806 rank and I got Metallurgical and Materials Engineering in this college.

My branch is Metallurgical and Materials Engineering so it is a very high research oriented program. You will learn about the metal properties, non metal properties and other ceramic properties. You can do then research in foreign colleges or from IIT.

Yes, our college provides internships, I don't know about stipend but definitely it would be as par with other institutes. There are huge laboratory a good computer centre in which you can learn lots of things.

Believe me..whatever ranking NIRF gives to our college. Our college is a brand which is still on people mouth. If you would have a decent CGPA with good communication skills then definitely you will get placed in average 6-7 lakhs. Many good private companies and PSU like BPCL, HPCL , Bridge and Roof etc come. Cse placements astonishing.

There are numerous events held in a year like Ojass, Culfest , Sports day called as Urja. There are lots of cash prizes and huge entertainment is there. metallurgy people have their own fest called as Technica in which they have events that are related to the metallurgy. There are also many clubs like Daksh, drift which are car making clubs and many other remuneration clubs are there in which you can hold your passion.

Fee structure at our time was less as compared to new Students although it is very less as compared to private college who charge 3-4 Lakshmi for a year. Here you will be charged near about 1.8 lakhs every year and you will get huge opportunities to learn from this college.

Definitely, if you are from the poor family then you can avail loan from the bank, in fact, the bank is located in the NIT Campus only which Rit SBI, you can take a loan from it. Also, there are many scholarships available if you have the financial problem that you can see from national scholarship portal. Generally, people other than general get benefit more from scholarship.

Campus life is really marvelous. You will spend the finest year of your life in this college. The college doesn't provide any kind of burden on the student. Since it is located in Jamshedpur so the city is very good there are two big markets bistupur and aakchi for which bus facility is given. The gender ratio is, of course, less especially in the mechanical branch as there used to be 2-3 girls max in this branch. There are many extracurricular clubs like dancing, cricket club, football club, etc.For debates, literary and debating society is there and robotics is held in Ojass. Many colleges come for participating in this college.

The one thing that NIT JAMSHEDPUR is really good is its hostel. The hostel is very good they are very clean with tiles and greenery surrounded. The mega hostel has lift and room are very spacious. The bathroom is also very spacious and clean you are definitely going to love it. Mess food is a little bit monotonous but it is good if you are non-vegetarian but it can be certainly a problem for North Indians who are not non-vegetarian. Otherwise, it is quite good.

Senior students are definitely helpful as you can see me giving my precious time so that a junior can wisely choose this college without having any ambiguity in his mind. There is strong alumni network, we also held alumni meeting every year to develop more good interaction with the alumni association.

There are mainly two mid-test of 20 marks and final test of 40 marks and 20 marks would be given to your attendance and project work. There would also be labs which are of 100 marks in which 20 marks would be for your viva, 50 marks for practicals and remaining for your attendance.There is a cumulative addition of marks so work hard right from start to the end.

Since, I got 25806 rank in JEE Mains so I was eligible for the counselling process. The counselling is done by one of the NIT and we have to report to our regional NIT for the admission process and locking our seats . Since, I was from Uttar Pradesh I went to MNNIT for locking of my seats. Then I got NIT Jamshedpur in fourth round for that I have to report to NIT JAMSHEDPUR within 2-3 days. I came to NIT JAMSHEDPUR and locked my seats and finally I gave my name for internal sliding if any of the seats left vacant then there would be internal sliding happened.

Faculty of Nit Jamshedpur are very decent. Although they are not as hardworking as your coaching teachers they will direct you and tell you the vast scope that is still hidden in this world. It is completely on a student how passionately he understands a teacher.
