Being honest about Apeejay College

No air conditioners except the labs and main library. Quite difficult to sit in the classroom during summers. Management is good there. Canteen need to be maintained properly.

Didn't took any exam for the admission here. It's the college which is having a good reputation in town and moreover it was just 2 km away from my house. I took admission in BCA because I was interested in IT.

Course structure of BCA was good but needs addition of new subjects rested to Artifical Intelligence and Machine Learning. There should be elimination of the subjects which are outdated now. Language Punjabi was also there in the first semester which should be eliminated as it doesn't have anything to do with computer applications.

No, internship was not there. We didn't got any opportunities for internships in Apeejay College of fine arts.

Very few opportunities for placements. Only 4 or 5 students were selected at TCS. And there was one off campus walk in interview by Capgemini at Chandigarh. Some students gone for higher studies in India and some went abroad. Few few are doing jobs after BCA.

There are many different events and guest lectures in the college. "Lavanya" is one of the main events at Apeejay, from fashion department. It's a fashion show. There are some events for the students like sports day, Talent hunt etc. Apeejay is having a Bhangra team which participate in State level competitions also.

Fee structure is feasible as compared to other good colleges. For BCA, it was around ₹60,000 per year, which was quite low as compared to private colleges like Lovely Professional University. You can also pay fees in installments, just need to talk with them. Very cooperative staff is there.

No scholarship. Although you can pay the fees in installments.

Campus is small as compared to some other colleges in the town. Gender ratio is 60:40 (B:G) People from every religion are there. Very friendly culture. Air conditioning was not there in the classrooms, so making it tough for students to sit in the classroom during summers.

Alumni interaction were few. 2 persons from TCS which were placed there came to interact with us. Although seniors guided us how to study and get good scores.

Examination was conducted by Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. They design the question paper. It was great constructed and focus on everything in the syllabus. Paper consisted of choices in questions. We just had mid term exams and final exams, so it was chilled out.

I enquired about the admissions by calling the number I found on internet. After that I visited the college and then I filled the form there. The staff there helped with all the procedure to follow. You need to purchase the admissions form and the brochure. Then attach your photos and fill the details. Even if you want to change the course, you can change it within 2 weeks. Fees can be paid in installments.

Faculty and standards are good there. Teachers having good knowledge of the subject they teach. There were many teachers which are from the younger generation and match your ideas and also encourages you to do something for your skill enhancements.
