Three wonderful Years

Jadavpuruniversity does have a pretty good management and most issues are addressed as soon as possible by the college authority. Students Union play a very pivotal role in maintaining this.

Since I am a student of faculty of science I did not have to give any Admission Test however we had an interview round.

The course curriculum is pretty Thorough, over the period of 3 years we do cover almost each and every topic relevant to and any undergraduate course in mathematics anywhere in India. however a four year Bachelor of mathematics course would have been more welcome because most United State University is wanted 16 year education system. But apart from that the curriculum is briti Thoreau to prepare you for Masters in mathematics course anywhere in India and also anywhere abroad.

Although the college itself has Limited opportunity for students in terms of internship and because of the academic calendar it becomes a little bit difficult for students of mathematics Honours to go outside for an internship but there are a lot of independent clubs which co-ordinate students to such opportunities.

Because mathematics Honours is a course where most of the students choose to continue with the masters in the same course and hence continue with research in mathematics the opportunity for jobs and placement is pretty low in department of mathematics our body in other faculties the job and placement scenario is really good

The best part of Jadavpur University is a vibrant culture it provides to students and the senior junior introduction there a variety of events that are conducted around the year including our first Sanskriti departmental reunion departmental freshers Union freshers union union and a variety of other activities such as gender awareness week language day.

Since Jadavpur University is St John University the fee structure is very very low there are plenty of scholarship opportunities to and their fees is around just a maximum of 1000 or 1500 per semester which is negligible as compared to any other university in India

All the loan would not be required because the fee structure is really really low a lot of scholarship opportunities is available inside campus illuminite scholarship scholarships for Poor students like meritcum means scholarship and scholarships for backward castes and other students is available on campus and the selection for which is done in a very fair way

Jadavpur University offers of very Cosmopolitan diverse campus with students from various countries various states and different parts of Bengal coming under one roof to study. Although I do not avail the hostel and mess facilities as I have heard from my friends the hostel and mess facilities are pretty good. The hostels have 2 students sharing a single room and the rooms are pretty spacious for 2 students the hostel is located inside the campus only so coming to college and attending classes from hostel will not be difficult at all.

Departmental and union unions are held every year and the alumni comes to such events regularly and interact with the current students and provide insights to current students about the world they see.

We have semester system in place usually we have to give about 3 papers every semester out of 50 marks. In courses which have practical as mandatory course there is an additional practical course in every semester with Choice Based Credit System we have two additional paper every semester of computer and English as electives apart from the Honours course we have to choose a few select elective which you have to clear every semester

The admission process usually consists of submitting your marks online in the portal for admission and then a list of the best candidates is created according to different boards and then a small interview round is conducted. The form is usually is released around May every year. After your field of the form a list will be generated and is usually release about two weeks after the last date of form fill up and then a date is released where everyone is invited to come to a personal interview session.
