PSIT - to be or not to be?

The average faculty-to-student ratio is 1:60. Teachers are well-qualified and some even have doctorate degree on them. There are 3 types of exams in the college viz assessments, class tests, and Pre University exams. The assignments and class tests happen during the course period whereas pre-university exams take place at the semester's end.

Internships are provided by companies like AWS and TCS which give a very good opportunity for the students to get some experience in the IT world and they get prepared for the future which is a must nowadays.

The students become eligible from 3rd year itself whereas 2nd year students can get internships for themselves. Many companies have visited the college viz Infosys, Deloitte, TCS, etc. The highest package bagged is 50 lacs which was an off-campus placement. The percentage of students getting placed is around 70 to 75 percent. My plan after getting the degree is to find a good job that give me a stable career and future.

The fee structure for B.tech students is 180300 which is One lac eighty thousand and three hundred rupees annually. For hostelers it is 96000 for AC rooms and 80000 for non AC rooms. The government scholarship is provided to us within the first 2 months of our college.

Life on campus is pretty average for a college student. The annual fest named "Ignitia" happens around the month of March every year. There is a separate fresher party for the new students. The library is a highlight of this college. It is a huge and fully AC library with almost all the books that are needed by the students. The classrooms are fitted with projectors and LAN ports for the students. All classes are fully AC.

In the room, we are provided with a bed, an almirah, a chair, and a table. Above the table are 2 electricity ports and a LAN port which provides us with the internet facility. My room is an AC room. The infrastructure of our mess is outstanding but the food quality is where they lose points. The hostel registration process is very simple and can be done any time of the year.

The admission process is very simple. Either you can opt for direct admission or through counseling. There is a small test for the direct admission students, in which there are questions about aptitude and English grammar. If we receive 70+ marks then we can choose the CSE branch.
