The best life learning experience

Overall, it has been a good experience overall. The college is going to provide one all the support and growth opportunities if the one is willing to seize them. Having said that, one need not worry about the placements alot, you will least get into a mass recruiter so focus on excellence from the first day and administration will support your research and projects.

To get into Jaypee, I appeared for AIEEE and secured a decent rank around 56k. Jaypee group has a good brand image and thus, assures one of quality education.

The curriculum is well defined for each semester. The programs are up to date. They focus well on building the strong base and hands on practical using effective tutorial and lab sessions. Learning python, focusing on machine learning gives one an edge in placements too when comparing with other colleges.

There are not many internship opportunities available to students. So, one might have to look out and apply for internships oneself. But having said that, there are a few (5-7) companies coming to provide the position of intern at an average stipend of 10k .

In 2015, over 100+ companies from Amazon, browserstack, ey, Deloitte, HCL, etc visited the campus for placements offering good packages. The highest package was 21 lacs and the lowest being 3 lacs. Around 90% of the eligible students were placed in some of the other companies. The minimum eligibility is 60% overall and no backlog. The job profiles offered are in consulting, development mostly but could vary from company to company.

There are 2 major fests that are conducted in a campus. One held in sector 128 and another one at 62. There are a number of events organized including robot fights,Fashion parade, flash mobs, MUN's etc. The 62 one is a bit grand with star night. We had Honey Singh, Nikhil chinapa and many other celebs attend our fest. One can also come up with unique idea and organize events after discussing them with JYC(Jaypee youth club).

The fee structure is a bit expensive. One year fees are around 1,15,000 and that excludes the hostel costs which is around 60k per annum. Also, you can pay the fees in 2 installments. each installment is before a semester with 1st installment being 80k and second one around 35k.

I have not availed any scholarship or loan, so can not comment over that but there were some scholarships available. So, one could directly contact college administration or student cell for the same.

The gender diversity is as of any other engineering college around 1:5 as per my estimate in a batch. There were students from across India, So, one will get to meet people from different backgrounds and culture. College recognizes the fact and conducts events related to event. One can participate in many sports including chess, badminton, table tennis, Cricket etc. There are competitions organized for that. Also, many workshops from guest lecturer from elite companies to keep the students up to date about company standards and new technologies.

The mess food is around Rs 50 per plate, which includes the buffet. It generally has chapati, daal, sweet, vegetable, rice and curd. The food quality is fine, not too scrumptious and not bad. There are no hostel facilities at sector 128 but otherwise, the hostel is good. Provided with good space, wifi and security.

The college conducts alumni meets regularly which helps the students connect. There is official Alumni connect page too, where one could share their details and connect with alumnus. Also, there are facebook groups which helps the jiitians to get in touch with seniors.

The exam pattern includes T-1, T-2, and T-3 with T-1 and T-2 being of 20 marks and T-3 of being 35 marks overall. The rest 25 marks were distributed between attendance, labs, practical file and behavior of the student. The exam was always hectic since the exams were finished off in 3 days with 2 exams generally held in one single day. So, it's advisable to be regular or plan well before exams.

To apply for Jaypee, one had to fill AIEEE and under AIEEE, fill a separate form for Jaypee noida. Now, One needs to take JEE (Main) exam and separately apply for JIIT counselling. Admissions are on the basis of rank in JEE (Main). One is eligible for admission in sister universities too, located at Waknaghat and Guna. The form is available at all local stationary shops and is available after January. Also, you can avail it on official college website. The administration is very supportive and the admission process was handled very diligently as the days are divided for different rank bands (ex:10,000-20,000 for day one).

Overall the faculty is very friendly and motivating. Teachers have often been asking students to focus more on research and learning than just grades. The faculty is mostly from IIT/BITS and all other premier institutes. Thus, the knowledge and the competency they have is indubitable.
