Honest Review Of IIIT Ranchi as A First Year Electronics Student Of IIIT Ranchi.

Being an ECE student at IIIT Ranchi the curriculum is quite good and you get exposure to various subjects since the beginning of 1st year like Computer Science, Electronics, Maths and Engineering Physics, and Communication Skills. The content in each subject is good and helps you understand many things. The faculty here is well qualified and expert in their subject . All the faculty members are IIT and NIT graduates with deep knowledge and help in understanding the subject better. You can approach them anytime if you have a doubt about their subjects. You also get exposure to electronics and computer lab sessions which helps to understand practical use of knowledge.

Many tech giants like Amazon, Oneplus, Jio, Infosys, and Tata Approach our college for internship and placement opportunities and our various tech clubs are trying their best to train the students with good skills so that they can be the ones who get more opportunities in different companies.

The placements at this college are impressive and they are growing at a good rate. It is managed by the E-cell department of our college. Our college is a new college but the growth in its placements Is Amazing Including various internship opportunities. In the year 2023, more than 80% of students got placed with an average greater than 12 lakh per year. The highest placement was 83 lakh per year. You can also get guidance from the e-cell for applying for off-campus placements.

The Tuition Fee per year for IIIT Ranchi is Rs.2,40,000 in 2023. The hostel and mess fees for each year are Rs.72000 which means the total fees per year is Rs.3,22,000. There are various scholarship opportunities available for every state student which are discussed by faculty and seniors to guide us on how to take benefits of it.

At Present, our college does not have a permanent campus however we are expecting our permanent campus to be ready at the beginning of the year 2025. Our college is currently running on 3 campuses- JUT, Jupmi, and Khelgaon. Our First-year batch of 2023 is Running on the JUT Campus. There are various tech and cultural clubs organized by the facilities and seniors of our college. They work hard to take each club to a great level so that every student can access its benefits. In our JUT campus, we have a ground where we play cricket volleyball, and badminton. Also, we can go to the library to study or borrow books.

The Hostels here are Of Flat Type. Each hostels are of 2 and 3 BHK type with one hall and 2 or 3 Rooms inside. The hostels are very spacious and comfortable. With water facility 24 hours available. Power cuts in electricity is a problem here but it will be fixed soon as issues are raised regarding these problem. The mess food is satisfactory here sometimes is good but sometimes the food here is not good Just like every other college mess food is average here. But you get good food often here.

To get a seat for admission in IIIT Ranchi you have to clear your Jee Mains exams with a percentile greater than 95 if you are a OBC category student. If You are a general category student at the 96 percentile you can get an ECE branch here. For more than 97 percentile you can CSE branch. Being an OBC category student I got 95.3 percentile in jee mains and I got allotted ECE branch seat. This college offers you four courses ECE, ECE with IOT, CSE, and CSE with specialization in AI&DS.
