Remarks
Good infrastructure, Great faculties, labs are good, fellow student are nice and friendly, great campus life, a lot of fun activities. If you are planning to do some technical degree from GGSIPU (especially BCA) MSI must be on top of your list.
Entrance Preview
Maharaja Surajmal Institute is a college of GGSIPU. One have to clear CET (Common Entrance Test). You get the chance of choosing your college according to the rank you secured in the CET. I got 54th rank on the CET. MSI has always been the first choice of the CET topper (especially for BCA) hence I decided to go with it.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course structure was good and it was updated during my last year (It was now more close to modern industry needs ).
Internships Opportunities
They do have bond with some companies for providing internship during the last year but it was not compulsory. You were allowed to do it outside the campus with other companies if you want so I decided to go with my brothers company.
Placement Experience
Placemnet is a great plus point for this college.They have a active placement cell which not only helps you when you are with the college but also after you left the college to get a good placement. There are many big companies that shows there interst in picking good students from MSI (with IBM, CSC, Converges, TCS, SAP, I-Gate, Wipro being a few of them).
College Events
The Main fest event of the this college is Avensis which is goes for 2-3 days. It is mainly a Tech feast but they arrange a lot of other cool activities also like battle of bands, plays, beauty competition, dance etc. (Main attraction is the Robot battle). Apart from that there are other events and fests which are held on the department level also there is a grand fest which is held on the main university campus.
Fees and Financial Aid
Don't know much about it. But yes they do provide 50% scholarship to the low income group students.
Campus Life
The campus life of MSI is awesome, you will find some activity happening every time, Sports, Dance, Drama, Technical everything. Hence provide you help in learning or sharping some extra skills.It is a college of mostly toppers. Students are friendly and nice.
Alumni/Alumna
The seniors were very helpful during my time. They were always happy to give any kind of help\advice if you need and were active even after leaving eh college. They proved to be a great help during the projects and the Placement times. I am not a active alumni hence don't know how the system is now.
