The freedom to roam around the campus at any time.

There is only one canteen which runs 24×7.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course as this can provide me ample amount of time to study non-core and pursue subjects of my interests. The faculties are highly qualified and have a very good teaching method. Exams are conducted in 4 phases including 2 quizzes, a mid-semester exam and an end-semester exam. I would rate my course and faculty as a 4 out of 5

Internships Opportunities

Various big, famous and good companies offer internships to students after the completion of their fourth semester namely Microsoft, Intel, American Express, Pwc, EXL etc. In the year 2023, the number of international offers increased more than double as compared to year 2021

Placement Experience

A campus student becomes eligible for an internship after the fourth semester. There are various famous and good companies which offer internships, as well as placement, to students. The average package for placements is 1900000 and the highest package is about 4 crores

Fees and Financial Aid

The cost to study is fair enough considering a government college and the college fees of other colleges. Also if someone finds it unaffordable, there are several ways of attaining a scholarship which are not so tough to gain.

Campus Life

The campus life is awesome. It provides complete freedom and the size of 1100 acres adds to the fun. There are three major fests taking place every year and several other inter-hall fests. The sport is considered the best among all the other IITs. There are many clubs and you can easily choose the club of your interest.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel facilities are good. Particularly they are better for the first year boys compared to first yeat girls as the boys hostel is recently built. The mess food is fairly good and it is said that the girls hostel mess has better food than boys hostel mess.

Hostel Fee: INR 15385 per year

Admission

I was admitted to IIT Kanpur through JEE Advanced exam. The eligibility criteria for this was to clear the exam with a rank of under 8000. The application process was through JoSAA who alloted me the college and branch according to my preferences.

Placement Experience:

After 6 th semester you are eligible for campus placement. Many companies are comes likes Accenture, Cognizant, Wipro, TCS, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, Cagegimini etc and they offer decent package. Highest package 3000000 and average package 400000 and profile offered as for company required. 80 percentage student get placement. Take a placement in good MNC company.

Actually I didn't research on the placement. But in college campus I saw many boards of placed students and the average package is around 4-4.5lakh per annum.and college data says about 90%of students are placed. I am preparing for both off-campus and on campus placement.

Placement Experience:

Our college offer good placement it has average placement of 11 Lpa. Highest package of 52 lpa in Google. There are many company like TCS, L&T, GOOGLE, MICROSOFT, IBM and many more visited our college. If you have CGPA greater than 7 then you are eligible for maximum placement drive. My plan is to get government job.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I want to be a software developer. The faculty are very kind and helpful. Almost every faculty member has completed there post-graduation from various established colleges. The examination scheme is a little bit slow here. Students can pass their semester exams if they are paying at least 45 per cent of their concentration.

I choose this college becouse of its flexible acdemic structure and its great Alum connections. Also this is the best college i am getting according to my rank and my interest in mathematics. I have Applied for IIT delhi in electronics. IIT Delhi is also a great college but when it comes to academic focus IIT delhi lacks there. Also there faculty administratation is so strict. if a student wants to start something or he/she has a new iniative for the college , he/she will face hard time. So I couldn't make it to IIT Roper CSE branch because my jee adance rank is not that great for the Roper' Computer science. So the Admission process here at IITK is not difficult. You just the originaly document which you have submitted in your josa counselling portal and you need to verify it once here usually a couple opf hours work. Life @ IITK

I chose IIT Kanpur over othe rcooleges because of its academic reputation, research opportunities and strong alumini network. I was also able to get seats in other IITs but I preferred IIT Kanpur due to its legacy . I didn't face rejections, but did not opt for some colleges even after qualifying due to lower research output, weaker placement stats.
