IIITDM Jabalpur College Review

I actually wanted this course ECE specifically as I was interested in the core branch and as well as it was easy to get into IT placements as well as it is a top branch. Faculty to student ratio is good. Faculties are pretty good or decent as you get in all other good colleges. All the professors are PHD holders in very reputed Institutes of India and abroad as well. The curriculum and exams are the best part as there are not much exams just 2 main exams namely mid semester and end semester and 2 quizzes that's it.

I'm still in my 3rd semester so I have not yet applied for any internships till now. But what I've heard from my seniors is that the many companies come and internships are almost all the students get offered internships with good stipend.

Campus placements are the best part of this college. Students become eligible for placements from 7th semester. We can apply for internships from 5th sem itself. Many big companies like Amazon,TCS, Goldmann and Sachs visit the campus every year and last year the highest placement was 1.2 cr and avg was around 23 lakhs. And around 85% students got placed. The cost to study over 8 sems or 4 years would be around 8 laks and it's pretty good considering the fee of other colleges. You can avail your state scholarships or national scholarships based on the merit. Or you can apply for the education loan in the college itself. The college internships and placements are pretty good

The college life is pretty cool tbh. The annual cultural fest Tarang is conducted in November and annual sports fest Gusto is conducted in February and annual techfest Abhikalpan is conducted in March. The campus is pretty big and good. All the books and journals needed are available in the library. There are dozens of sports and extra curricular activities in the campus. And there are lots of technical, cultural and sports clubs managed and run by students in the college and they are pretty big.

All the students must stay in the hostels alloted in the college campus only. And every batch are alloted a seperate hostel. The facilities provided in the hostel rooms are good. A bed, table, chair, fan, cupboard are provided to each and every student. The food in the mess is decent.

This is an Institute of national importance like all the IITs and NITs and IIITs. You should write JEE exam and qualify for eligibility.
