Course Curriculum Overview
As it's JAMSHEDPUR you can opt Metallurgical and Materials Engineering branch without hesitation. It is the best college for studying Metallurgy. The Faculties are nice and all have PhDs from IITs. They teach on blackboard and whiteboard. Exams are conducted two times per semester. One Mid-semester and one End-semester.
Internships Opportunities
Internships are good but as I'm first year student I don't have much idea about the stipend. The companies are Razorpay, Tata Steel, Unacademy, Coding Ninjas, Atlassian, etc. Tata Steel offers special internships to girls.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for placements from the 7th semester. Placement percentage was 98.8% and Metallurgical and Materials Engineering was 100%. The average package of our college is 17.2 LPA and 27.32 LPA for CSE. The highest package was 83LPA. I will try to get placed in one of the best companies coming into our college.
Fees and Financial Aid
So the fee per semester is Rs. 118000 but you can avail of the tuition fee remission if your family income is less than 5LPA. All the scholarships which are issued by the government can be availed here. If your family income is less than 1 LPA you can avail 100% tuition fee waiver.
Campus Life
College life is very good and probably one of the best in India. The cultural fest is known as Culfest and the technical fest is known as OJASS. The sports fest is called URJA. We have all types of clubs, you name it and it's ready and all along the year there is some event going on from every club and students here win cash prizes. The clubs even go to IITs for various events and win. Talking About the classroom, they are the best in India, even better than most IITs. They are at the level of MIT and STANFORD University and hostels are also better than many IITs.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are better than IIT DELHI and MNNIT Allahabad. During first year they provide you 2 seater rooms for boys and 3 seater for girls and from second year you get single rooms. Hostels mess are good and food is similar to every IITs and NITS.
Admission
To take admission in NIT JAMSHEDPUR you need to pass the JEE MAINS EXAM. The application form is available on the official NTA website. For reservation benefits, you need your category certificate ready.
