Department's lab has good and modern tools and all are in working condition. The department if funded by ISRO for enhancing the lab. Apart from lab, all classrooms has good quality projector system and digital board.

Department of Geography, JMI is one of the richest department funded by ISRO for Remote sensing and GIS Lab, also DST-FIST. Department conducts Entrance examination for both PG and UG courses every year. I have also applied for the entrance examinations last year and got selected in my first attempt. I also suggest the readers read something about Geography because it is the only subject which is something beyond to classroom. One can't simply read in books without exploring it physically.

The course is not limit to theoretical portion but has practical and survey too. Also, it offers a CBCS course where you are free to choose any course in any department of same University. Apart from theoretical subjects, They offer practical in Remote sensing, GIS, GPS, Also they offer DIP training program and Socio-Economic Survey. If you made it till here, then they will make you there, apart from the crowd!

Yes! Department provides number of internship offers, but generally the stipend is average or low, but yes it's all about a great experience.

Placement is not generally the part of the course, but department offers no. Of internships. If you want to get placed grab good knowledge in the field if Remote sensing and GIS, they will help you to open the gates of hundreds of company. They also offer pg diploma in Remote sensing and GIS and placed each and every student with a good average package. But most of the students decided to move ahead for higher studies.

Department of geography, JMI organises many events, seminars and fest. Recently I have attended a National seminar, which was pretty good and listened many legends. Department celebrates each festival with full of joy and enthusiasm, they try to provide the best environment to students to enhance their skill and helps them in their personality development.

Fee is too nominal only a 7000/- rupee approx a year, which includes all the facilities and examination form fee. JAMIA is one of the central government institutions of India, which has nominal charges for all the things inside the campus including tuition fee and other charges.

Department offers number of scholarships for minority, backward classes, Kashmiri migrants etc. As per government norms.

Campus life is good, but the vegetarian people suffers for veg food. But if you are non vegetarian lovers, you have the chance to eat one of the most delicious food. There are so many extracurricular activities progressed in or near campus. Also the MAK PATAUDI STADIUM, where sehwag brought up.

Actually, I didn't get the hostel, but yeah my friend always brought some food from the mess if hostel and it was delicious Everytime and of medium spices. Apart from the mess food, college canteen food is also in cheap rate with high quality sometimes with average quality at peak time.

I have talked almost all of my seniors, they all are equally fantastic and gas good knowledge of subject.

Yes! Department is surrounded by garden on all four side, also has AC in each room. Exams are generally held in AC classrooms and if AC would not in working condition, then there are a lot of fans in every room which makes you chilled. And there is no word of hectic, if you are in Geography, you have to explore every environment with full enthusiasm.

Department conducts Entrance examination every year for both PG and UG in the month of late April or early May and the process for filling the form started a month before. I have also applied for it and got selected in written examination. And then after completion of further process I got the admission, and helps me to take a step ahead in my life.

I have counted once there are nine professor, a associate professor and two Assistant professor. Apart from them, there are 7 non teaching staff and a lab assistant. Prof. Masood Ahsan Siddhiqui, Head of Department, is the principal investigator of Geography content on EPG paathshaala, a MHRD initiative for free and better education to all.
